Did you hear about... (insert whatever topic you find interesting).
. Did you hear about the woman who found part of a human finger in her burger, while eating at her favorite burger place? She claimed to have been chewing on it. (Not in the US) The article showed a picture and claimed to have verified that a man had indeed lost the end of his finger, while prepping the meat.
GROSS!
I read about this yesterday. I would post a link, but I'm on my phone and don't know how to find the url. Sorry.

The closest I have ever come to that was while eating a restaurant salad. I felt something not of the salad world in my mouth. It was a restaurant salad maker's used band-aid which came off his or her finger.
The restaurant took the salad off my bill. Never ate there again.

Did you feel like removing the charge for the salad was adequate compensation? I think they should have comp'd your whole meal. But I wouldn't have argued about it. And did you still leave a tip? I'm not sure one way, or the other about that. Your description is very much like the lady's in the article. Sick!

I don't remember if I looked at the band-aid pad to see if it was dark red or pink. They said no. And I understood that. For all they knew I planted the band-aid in the salad just to get a free meal. Never ate there again. The restaurant was called The Vault. The restaurant was in a former bank building and part of the dining room was in the bank's vault. I don't think they were in business for very long.

When I worked at a restaurant, we had a couple who would come in, order large expensive meals and after eating 3/4+ of the food, would complain about the food. After being comped the first time, the manager refused to comp them on subsequent visits, although they tried many times, for a few weeks. My guess is that they moved on to another restaurant after that. I doubt they quit doing it.

If you haven't seen the movie Waiting, it's worth seeing what happens to your food in the kitchens.

I went to three different grocery stores yesterday. All of them were fully stocked. Sam's Club did look well shopped but there were no empty places.
I don't know if Walmart and Big Lots hired stockers just to get the shelves full.

I never watched this show. But anytime someone dies it's sad.

He was also a series regular on White Collar. He's been a guest star on several TV shows like Hawaii Five-o as a corrupt art dealer. It is sad. Much like its sad a 70 yr old female customer got killed just because she went to the grocery store at the wrong time.

Shooter was a terminated earlier in the day third party vendor employee. Total people shot is fifteen with only one innocent's death so far.

I never watched this show. But anytime someone dies it's sad. He was my favorite character on White Collar. Loved that show and when cancelled was sad. Showed up in rerun years ago and recorded it. Still have in saved and watched a few episodes last night in honor of my favorite character.

If you haven't seen the movie Waiting, it's worth seeing what happens to your food in the kitchens. I've worked in fast food and in a restaurant. I don't want to know any more. I have enough food issues. My son worked after school and weekends when in high school at fast food that shall remain nameless. The stuff he would tell me. His girl friend’s Mom worked in office so he kept his mouth shut. He did learn from that job. He did not like fast food work And never mix business and pleasure. He wanted to quit but felt guilty. I told him to blame it on meanie me. I said he needed to concentrate on school work.
