Any way she can possibly get in and out of the house. Basement window or something? Probably a false report though. I'm on the lost and found pet board for my city and every missing animal gets a bunch of replies of "sightings" and some are with pictures and I'm like "dude, in what universe do you think that is the same dog as the one in the missing photo?". LOL true! I'm inclinded to think a false sighting. Even if she was outdoors - which is a stretch I concur, I really doubt that she would have gone that far afield. The kittens were first put into a spare room. After a few weeks they were allowed that room, part of the hall and the bathroom, after another few weeks more rooms upstairs.** Finally when one kept crashing the barrier I gave them full access to the house - this long delay was more to protect them from Cocoa who was not keen on the idea. The missing kitten was the last to explore the downstairs, and she still is just barely making it to the kitten while being super spooky. I would think it would have taken her quite some time to traverse a block or two, crossing multiple streets. On the other hand, her sister has been hissing at her this morning - even though they were back in the kitten room from 5ish am til 9ish, and some of the others regard her with a little suspiciousness. So she might be smelling different? Someone suggested pet cemetary to explain the mysteries! We did just order video doorbells last night to see if we could capture her on video, it's been hard to pulll the trigger because nothing was exactly what we wanted but this has galvanized us into action. **ETA: they were always confined to a single room overnight.

SO glad she is back! I would be a complete mess if my cat disappeared. I hardly slept or ate while she was missing, I was so worried. Just had my first full meal - hope it takes the headache and dizzyness away. Hoping it's just lack of sleep food stress and not breakthrough covid!

I'm glad she is safe. I'm guessing you will feel much better after eating.

I had a cat that would nap in the linen closet. She'd slip in when the door was opened as far as I could determine. Please add "found" to your thread title to relieve a lot of your fellow readers stress!

You could try setting up a routine when you feed your cats - do a little "pig call" - sue -ee! sue ee!! piggy piggy piggy! (google for pig calling contest) or something like that.
I use to tap the cats ceramic bowl with with the spoon used to dish out cat food and call "Here Kitty! Kitty! Kitty!" (like a pig call). If I really needed to get the cats attention (and have them come to the kitchen) when it wasn't dinner time - I'd do the call... and they would come (not running but they would all show up.) I didn't do this "for fun" - I wanted them to be curious and come when I called unexpectedly. I didn't want them to ignore it.
I had an Adventure Cat who knocked out the window screen on a second floor window, got to the front porch roof - and then from there up to the top of the house roof - across the roof and then down to the back porch roof, and then down to the outside stairs that went up to the second floor - down to the ground, and then somehow over to my neighbors yard (not sure if he climbed the fence or went to the front of my house and then next door and down the gangway between the houses to their yard. He was "at large" probably for 10 to 12 hours.
I went looking and calling for him - it wasn't until I used the "Pig Call" that indicated dinner was being served that he answered and came out of the shrubbery in which he was hiding. .
When I spotted a cat in my yard - and realized I had seen lost cat posters... I called the cat's people and they came over and looked for the cat and called his name... but it wasn't until they banged on his metal food bowl and called their "pig call" that he started crying/meowing and came out of the dense landscaping (weeds/brush). We weren't looking for him there.

Glad your youngster cat is back safe and sound. I think you'll know if she got out if she makes kittens in 2 months.

Glad she's found!
A couple summers ago we had a chicken go missing for 2 weeks. We were sure she was gone and then she just turned up with the others. It was so weird.

I just came home from a nice walk - my first since the incident. As soon as she heard my voice she came running downstairs to greet me and snuggle. I cannot live without this kitten.

My Gomez used to go on the lam regularly. Once he fell off m6 second floor balcony. Another time, he fell out my open bedroom window, knocking out the screen. Yet a third time, he slipped out an open door. Luckily, I found him all 3 times. Gizzy OTOH, was such a scairdy cat that when he found himself outside, he hid under my door mat until 8 found him.
Glad your kitty is home.

I usually lurk but reading what happened I wanted to give you another potential hiding spot.
We were in our kitchen and our kitten was nosing around at a corner where two cabinets met - all of a sudden he disappeared! Getting on the floor and looking up underneath the tiny bit of cabinet overhang, there was an opening that let him go in between the cabinets into what I assume is a tiny bit of wasted space in that area. We had to open a can of tuna to get him out, and he wanted to go right back in. To this day there is still a piece of cardboard underneath blocking the spot.
Glad all turned out well and your kitten was found.

We have a spot like that in our basement ceiling where we boarded up a hole that let the cat get in between the ceiling and the first floor. Eventually we would like to insulate it, but for now it is open between each floor and inside the walls from the basement to the attic.
