A pathetic political party. Just pathetic. Led by the GSOAT (Greatest Snowflake Of All Time).

In the minds of Trump and his ilk, the only "proof" you need that the election was rigged/defrauded/unfair/illegal is if they lose. Literally the election results are the only evidence required. It's problematic because they have convinced the gullible (aka modern-day republicans) that this is all the evidence they need. So to a republican, any election a democrat wins is automatically fraudulent. Where do we go as a nation from here? Are there just going to be constant recalls every time a Democrat wins?

I’m leaning towards letting them have their own chunk of real estate that the can run as a white, anti women, anti gay theocracy.
The party keeps showing up on the wrong side of public sentiment (no abortions even for rape and incest, no vaccine mandates, no masks, being aggressively racist is a first amendment right), let them go off somewhere with their 30 to 40 percent and let the rest of us alone.

I'm not sure it will work. I mean, I politely ask them to go fuck themselves all the time and so far no luck.

Wow. That isn't even close and votes are still being counted.
No 66.8% 5,520,289 votes Yes 33.2% 2,747,825 votes
I'm guessing there isn't going to be a sudden 3 million "Yes" vote surge between now and when the count is complete.

Just glad California doesn't have to use the Electoral College. That margin is less than Hillary Clinton beat Donald Trump by....

Found the rule breaking in the election. I hope this gets reported. That should not happen and he should have been sent home to change at the very least.

What strategy are Republicans in California following? For them to win the Recall was an amazing long shot.
I have a hard time believing the overall strategy was: It will be an upset! Just like when trump won in 2016! We got this!
I get that there are often strategic losses taken - to help bolster or move forward some other part or piece of a plan.
I don't see how this loss in California helps the GOP (or trump). A lot of money and time was spent on this recall. What's the long game goal? What am I missing?

What you’re missing is there is no GOP strategy. Candidates are picked based on who toadies up to Trump the best - especially those that go along with the Big Lie. Trump does a shitty job picking candidates.
For instance, in the GA Senate race against Democratic Womack, Trump picked his good friend Hershal Walker, a former UGA football star. He won the Heisman in 1984 but since leaving football he’s lived in Texas and only recently moved back to GA. His wife is under investigation for illegal voting in GA. Walker has a few business ventures with mixed results post football. He also has a turbulent mental health issues including having dissociative identify disorder which he claims made him want to murder someone, and also threatening to kill his wife with a straight razor.
Georgians remember Hershal fondly. But will they over look his mental health issues, lack of experience, and the fact that he’s actually Texan now? The Dems will certainly have plenty to campaign against.
Unknown. But this is what happens when you let Trump pick his buddies as your candidates.

What am I missing? this was a trial balloon for voter suppression and a motivated dystopian minority.
and what this says is this: it won't work in Blue States.
Democrats need a strategy to secure enough electoral vote STATES from voter suppression to make the GOP strategy fail. it should not really take more than that because, as I have said before, the GOP is an anti-government (probably neo-fascist) insurgency at this point. they can't be redeemed. they can only be excluded.
it will take EFFORT to do that. I am not sure that Democrats have it in them. but we will see.

Recall of Newsom has failed - Now to the lawsuits from the GOP I thought this when I heard. This should be interesting. it won't be. it will be about as "interesting" as Trump's 60 lawsuits.
let's face facts among ourselves: the GOP put this fucking thing on the ballot, wasting time and taxpayer money, as their "best and only strategy" for flipping a blue state. and it failed. wildly. will they try it again? I really doubt it, actually. so yeah. this was a bad idea, and it didn't work.
the lawsuits are without legs. I can guarantee it. very few will even have a hearing.
