Depends on how much you are drinking. I generally drink 3 quarts to 1 gallon of water a day. When I am home, I pee constantly. Probably every hour while awake, and usually 1-2 times at night. When I am at work, I am usually busy and put if off longer than I should. Usually at work around 10 hours, and probably go 4 times a day.

Is it normal for you?
It's not normal for me unless I have an UTI or my blood sugar is out of control.

I’m at about 10 so far today and it’s only 3:00. Is that too much? Yes well, shit. I drink water all day long, easily over 2L, and I'm always peeing. isn't that good, to be flushing the system?

I'm on a med related to high blood pressure which causes me to pee a lot. And when I turn the kitchen faucet on...I can't pee fast enough.

You only need to drink enough to keep your Irvine pale yellow. More than that and you are not really doing much to help your kidneys, but you will pee quite a bit. First step is to cut back on your fluid intake.
If you are only peeing small amounts, but frequently, you may need to see a urologist. And this idea that you need to drink 64 ounces a day is a myth, unless you are sweating quite a bit. You lose about 500 cc through non-urinary losses. The rest of your fluid intake will come out as urine. It is just a matter of how much time you want to waste going to the bathroom.
We have a saying, “the dumbest kidney is smarter than the smartest internist.” Give the kidney enough fluid to do the job. More is overkill

You only need to drink enough to keep your Irvine pale yellow. So how much do I need to drink to turn a guy named Irvine yellow? Different for everyone. But you have 500 cc in insensible losses. If you take in 1500 c. Of fluid, and get about 500 cc from food, you will make about 1500 cc(30 ounces of flui. Divide that by how much you pee at one time, and you see how often you should go. In most cases, that amount of fluid is adequate. If your urine is not pale yellow with that intake, you need to drink more

Some days I feel like I'm visiting the restroom too often, but then, I'm dieting, so I've convinced myself that I'm just losing some of the fat that way. As long as I'm not accidentally soiling my clothes, I'm telling myself that I don't need to talk to my doctor. At least, not yet...

I drink a lot of water while working out in the morning so I peed 3 times before noon today.
2 times this afternoon I'm sure I will go at least another 2-3 times today before bedtime
I usually go 2 times during the night
Some days I swear I am losing retained fluid because I will go non-stop. Other days not so much...

About once an hour or so. It had become a habit to go too often for a couple reasons, but I try to hold it to at least an hour between after talking to my PT.

I would explode. Do you drink any other beverages during the day in addition to that or is it all water? Are you drinking that much water because you are truly thirsty for it and enjoy it or because you feel compelled to? Now granted, I probably don't consume enough water some days (and some days its just coffee and wine!), but I think many have gone way overboard with the water intake. When did everyone decide that if a normal amount of hydration is a good thing, MASSIVE quantities of water must be better? I have no desire to slosh when I walk or need to pee hourly.

We went to the NP at the urologist today, she said DD should drink 70 ounces of fluids a day. Well she doesn't and getting her to do so is a battle. Also trying to keep her dry at night, kind of hard to do.
Does it count the dribbling I now do, LOL? I need to go see about that for me. A real problem when I get up in the morning. I go a lot.

I have peed like 7 times today already, which is a lot for me. I figured I was finally shedding the retained water from eating pizza on Sunday.
I usually pee about 4-5 times/day - when I get up, before bed, and 2-3 times in between.

Just to get all sciency on you all.
Normal urine output is 0.5cc/kg/hr. If you are producing that much, you do not need to drink more if you have no issues with kidney stones or need to flush certain medications out of your system

I’m most of the time working outside. And with this heat waves we’ve been having, we drink a lot! I mean, before noon, I might have a gallon downed and then the real heat comes and you spend half the time drinking water! then you try to pee and there is nothing but two drops! Meanwhile, your shirt and pants are soaked. You’re lucky if you pee once from 8 am to 4 pm and I wouldn’t even call it that! In the evenings, maybe 3-4-5 times. Now, for the one in the morning, I gotta sit down!😂

Swamp, having had a few problems in this area over the past 5 or 6 yrs....make an appt. & see a urologist...if nothing more than having a good chat with them to see what you might need to regulate or change. We discovered that I have bladder reflux...my kidneys send the urine they produce to the bladder which sends part of it back to the kidneys...which can cause some major problems....so I have things I have to do to keep from having constant infections...including meds. Getting older isn't fun...and more things can go wrong or change as we age.
