As someone who has lived there in the past 5 years: Nope. Although politicians has definitely moved up on the list, for some.

I don't live in Florida - but I have 2 rental properties... and my biggest fears are Broken A/C (because of mold). any kind of water leak - roof or plumbing (because of mold), and then Hurricanes (because it can mean no electricity or A/C for days and days and days). "mold" is more about the entropy (and speed at which it happens) that it represents than the actual mold. The humidity and moisture just speed up the decline of just about everything in Florida. I don't really want to live there either... I use to think it was "the devil (where I currently live) you know is better than the devil (where my Florida relatives live) you don't" but it's more of a "I know this devil (where I currently live) and it's no where as awful as that devil (Florida where my relatives live)". I don't dislike/hate Florida - it's a rather interesting place. It's just someplace that for me is nice to visit, but I don't want to live there. I sometimes think most local economies in Florida are based around the never ending cycle of "rebuilding" and "repairing" structures (like homes).
