Yes, she really went ahead and created her own thread to update the people inside her computer on what she's been up to for the past *looks at calendar* like 18 months or so.
Anywho, hey guys! I know I've been MIA. And I absolutely cannot and will not promise I'll be back with a ton of regularity, but I will attempt to pop in every now and then. I spend/waste enough time at a computer as it is - no need to make it worse! Here are some quick-ish updates. In short, I did a vision board in January of 2020 and in a very twisted way, I manifested a lot of what I put on there. Yes, I believe in Law of Attraction. Your thoughts and frame of mind absolutely translate to actions, which can lead you to or away from different things. I will not debate this. I had a SUV on there and had been saying for a while now that when my Sonata died, my next car would be a SUV. Well my mom decided to get a new car in February 202 and decided to give me her Subaru Forester (a SUV). I put a picture of DS (who is about to turn 10 in 3 weeks, seriously WHERE DOES THE TIME GO?!?!?) on there because I always feel guilty about not spending enough time with him. Well the pandemic plus me getting furloughed for about 6-8 weeks last April/May definitely allowed us to spend more time together. I had plants on there, and by December my mom and I had a whole mess of greenery in the house. Had dog pictures on there and BF (yes I'm getting to that) got a dog in late August... I could go on, but you get the picture. And the best possible ending to 2020 was me accepting a job offer at a well-known international pharmaceutical company that came with a 30% pay increase and double the PTO of my previous employer. So yeah - I finally got mine after over 10 years of being underpaid and overworked!!!!! Long story short - vision board and manifest!!!!!! LOL! And yes, I had my last first date in late May of 2020. We enjoyed a lovely date walking through New Hope and chatting and have been going strong ever since. He is intelligent, strong, caring, thoughtful, VERY generous (and HOT, omg LOL) and I love him so, so much.
Will get more into housing, BF, and DS later... What in who's hell made me start this so late?

Good to see you on the board. I have been thinking about you off and on. New Hope. I have thought about getting a Subaru as a daily driver, although being me, I have more than a few cars I want to shop ... so the universe can help me manifest the right one. Saw a long lean Jaguar the other day that reminded me of the Porsche Panamera (my dream car). P.S. I PMed you but I realize after the first paragraph, I left things out.

Glad to hear things are going so well. And your vision board is a great method to map out your goals.

Fantastic update, MJ!!! Congrats on everything!!! Excuse me while I put a vision board together…. New hope. Prophetic. I need some myself, been very dark lately. New Hope, PA is a very fun town along with its sister town Lambertville, NJ. I prefer to park in Lambertville and walk across the bridge. Both towns have lots of interesting shops and restaurants. Its worth a day trip, more if you want to explore the area. Highly recommend and this is top season for it, summer, which means crowds and competitive parking.

Welcome back MJ. Glad things are going well.
When we were first married and I was on active duty, we lived near New Hope and went there often. My wife was buying/collecting tea pots for <$1 that years later were worth >$50.

Almost second financee wanted to stay there for at least a few days, but I was in a no work no pay job. He really loved the area and I get it, but its not close to many well paying jobs unless you are in the tourist industry. We went down enough we had our fave restaurants and stores. I'd be more likely to live in the smaller and hopefully cheaper Frenchtown.

I met BF on OK Cupid, so there are some good guys on these sites, ladies! You will have to sift through literally hundreds of trash dudes, but there's some treasure out there! On the day of our first date I thought "if this one turns out to be another creep, I am DONE!" This was also about 4-5 months into my "feminine transformation" (re-vamping my wardrobe, putting more effort into my personal care, re-programming my standards and boundaries with men, etc.), so my expectations were not super high. I had decided I was officially done with the 50-50 mindset - I've already BTDT, got the t-shirt, novelty hat, pictures, video.... ALL of it, not going back to it because as you may have guessed, it wasn't actually 50-50! Lo and behold, BF met and exceeded my expectations. He engages me in thought-provoking conversations (and we can disagree in a productive way), he is a GREAT cook, he is pretty neat/tidy, he helps me to be more active as we do lots of walks/hikes/bike rides together, he is creative and handy, and he is thoughtful and generous with me. Like I tried to give him money for something, and he was actually offended and asked not to do it again. He definitely steps into the "provider" role with me, and honestly it took me some time to get used to, even though it's what I wanted. But we are super happy. And the best thing? DS really likes him!!! They are so cute together! We don't live together BTW - neither one of us is ready for that step yet, LOL!
Housing update coming soon....

Thanks for the update. Great to learn that things have been going so well for you! I also believe in law of attraction type stuff. (I came across it before that book came out, so I may not have the exact same understanding of it.) I never thought of doing a vision board. Neat!

So glad things are going so well for you MJ! I think I need to put together a vision board of my own. I don't think putting a picture of DH on it will get him back but maybe it will give me some peace. I guess I know what i'm doing this afternoon!

I'm so glad you're back! I wanted to ask if anyone has heard from you, but I was afraid. We all know what happens when we ask about people.

Fwiw your name comes up from time to time as people wondered where you vanished to. Always refreshing to hear that you've been too busy for us in a good way congrats on all the positive life steps. Sounds like you and your mom moved in together after all. How is that going?
