Very sad story, 15 mo old dies of dehydration and starvation

Yet more stories, showing there are worse things in this world than being aborted before viable. Mom died of an overdose and appears to have left 15 month old strapped in a car seat.

A toddler whose body was found strapped in his car seat inside his Tennessee home died of starvation and dehydration after his mother fatally overdosed on meth and fentanyl, autopsies show.



Tiffany Spears, 32, and her 15-month-old son, Nicholas Crowder, were found dead inside the home in Portland, north-east of Nashville, back in February but the results of their autopsies were only released on Monday.



The medical examiner, who ruled both deaths an accident, said Spears had been dead several days after dying of a drug overdose.



It is not clear how long Nicholas had been dead before he was found but his cause of death was starvation and dehydration.




His three-year-old sister, who was found alive inside the home, appeared to have tried to care for the little boy prior to him dying.



The medical examiner noted that food, including dried egg and eggshells, were found in and around his car seat.

She's three. The time permanent memories usually form. I actually hope she remembers some of it, but just the trying to save the brother part of it. I hope her future is far better than this and how it felt, how long she was left alone, is not left in her memory.

I want her to remember she did what she could, and to be proud of that if people talk about it later in life to her.   Looks like the heartbreak emoticon got dropped for space or something.
