Our Sam's Club doesn't sell gas. OK, we had a lot of shopping fun at Sam's Club! We're not members, but they're having a free "Spring Preview" weekend ... and anyone who wants to can shop there this weekend. We've done this once before, and had fun stocking up. We bought generic Zyrtec, vitamins, beef jerky, peanuts, Cliff Bars, grape tomatoes, LOTS of chicken sausage (they freeze really well), Diet Coke, LOTS of heavy duty paper plates (they were a great deal), and some pickles. Oh, and replacement bristles for our Sonic toothbrushes. We checked out the cat food and litter (not what we use), and we decided we could do better on toilet paper, paper towels, and a lot of other things shopping elsewhere. Oh ... and the samples were scrumptuous: chicken sausage, bacon, strawberry shortcake, warm muffins... yumm! (I also had the $1.50 hot dog/soda lunch and my wonderful DH has the $1.88 giant pizza slice!) The silly thing? We mainly went there for their store brand of chicken sausages to freeze, lol! (But we knew we'd buy other things, and I knew my wonderful DH wanted nuts, jerky, Diet Cokes for the office!) To keep our spending in check, we took a specific amount of cash and stayed under budget.

Thanks for the tip! I love some of their items, but there's only two of us so it's not really worth it to buy a membership.
I'll be sure to make a trip there this weekend.

DH got new tires for his SUV. Same tires were cheaper at Walmart instead of Sams Club. Go figure?

Thanks sam - We did go to Sam's and we ended up getting a membership. DH wandered around looking at all kinds of things and loved it. I stocked up on some items they don't carry in our local grocery store.
