She said on some podcast with Gaetz that she didn’t miss being able to participate in committee meetings at all because she loved to get out of Washington and travel around the country meeting the real patriots.
I don’t think she understands what her job is.

I don’t think she understands what her job is. I think she understands exactly what people elected her for. To be the biggest, loudest, dumbest most obnoxious voice in the room to really stick it to those evil liberals. Just like her dear mentor she says the things her electorate wants to say but is too cowardly to do unless provided political back up.

I expect my representative to be in Washington fighting to improve our rural little backwater - we can use all the help we can get. Not running around the country with a perv, trying to garner attention so she can do what - be on Dances with the Stars? Try to be a Fox News talking head?

But yeah, she wears too much spackle so probably wouldn't make the cut.

The tiny local paper ran a story tonight on the GOP candidate who is going to challenge Marge for her seat.
Charles Luton, a retired emergency room physician, ex US Air Force flight surgeon. Believes in the 2nd amendment but doesn’t think civilians need military grade weapons, advocates working across the aisle, fully fund education, we need secure borders but immigrant labor is important and we have to have a humane approach to children that came here with their parents, wants to improve the VA. Worried that our district is suffering from an image problem because other parts of the country look down on us, wondering what kind of people could have elected ‘Marge.’
His further comment on the current office holder : I don’t mean to make light or ridicule mental illness, but Mrs Greene has got more issues than the Supercan comics. I think the woman would benefit from treatment. It’s not her fault if she’s not well balanced mentally, but it is her fault it’s not treated.”
As we say around here, whooo-law!!!!
Primary is May 22nd, I’ll be there promptly when the doors open, ready to vote for Dr Lutin. Or should I say, against Marge ‘Jewish space lasers’ Greene.

Oh I forgot the best part: ‘The Jan 6 Commission needs to proceed without impediment, a full investigation and a final report, I think, frankly the present Republican Congress and former Republican Administration are doing everything to obstruct and interfere with that investigation. That needs to stop.’
A Republican who refuses to get on board with the Big Lie! Awesome.

He sounds completely reasonable. He doesn’t stand a chance. It’s going to be interesting to see what happens. There have been some letters to the editor in our little local rag about how wonderful MTG is - but I saw a new bit where a reporter stuck a microphone in front of a young woman in the district who said she thought MTG was literally mentally ill. A Dem wouldn’t have a chance (this district always goes firmly red) but I’d be interested to see how this guy does against her in the primary. If a lot of dems and moderate GOPers and independents enthusiastically vote for him, we might have a chance of unseating the big mouthed nut job.

So my rep Marge, showing that there is no low too low for her, has sponsored a bill to give Kyle Rittenhouse a congressional medal of freedom.
Just in case y’all forgot, Marge was one of the very few congressmen who refused to vote to give the Jan 6th House guards congressional medals of honor for their service during the attempted coup. That wasn’t a good enough effort to win the medal - but carrying an assault weapon to a protest and killing some people - and then getting off scot free - that’s worthy of the highest honor.

She can’t sit on any committees and the only legislation she sponsors are bullshit ones that don’t help her constituents but garners her more attention as one of the biggest House Loonies. She’s a perfect waste of breath. And she’s mine.

Yesterday Greene went after Kevin McCarthy, saying he doesn’t have the full support of the GOP in the House and probably doesn’t have the votes to become leader again, should the GOP win back the House in 2022, and this is because he’s failing to punish the GOP members that should be punished, and didn’t stand up for Greene when the House voted to kick her off all the committees. www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/marjorie-taylor-greene-says-kevin-mccarthy-doesn-t-have-the-votes-or-full-support-from-the-house-gop-to-be-speaker/ar-AAR91WESo when she talks about ‘punishing’ the bad GOP members, I assume she means the ones that have stood up to Trump instead of being loyal toadies. And just last month McCarthy was trying to be nice to her by saying he’d get her committee assignments back for her if the GOP won back the house in 2022.

And in other bigoted people news... GOP Rep Lauren Boebert Faces Calls to Be Censured as Ilhan Omar Remarks Anger DemocratsIn the video, Boebert told a story about meeting Omar in an elevator as she was leaving the Capitol and a police officer rushing toward them. "I see fret all over his face, and he's reaching [...] The door's shutting, like I can't—I can't open it—like, what's happening?" Boebert said. "I look to my left, and there she is. Ilhan Omar. I said, 'Well she doesn't have a backpack, we should be fine.'" Boebert again referred to Omar as a member of the "Jihad Squad"—repeating a phrase she'd used during a debate on the censure of Republican Representative Paul Gosar. Some social media users responded with outrage and called for Boebert to be censured by the House of Representatives. Marge was busy fighting the good fight against this covid hoax thing. www.newsweek.com/omicron-variant-spurs-marjorie-taylor-greene-attack-doctors-who-wont-prescribe-ivermectin-1653706She’s saying we need to be more like Africa - they use ivermectin, and they stay outside more so they have more vitamin D, and they’re less fat. All we need to do is grab our dewormer and get more healthy and the whole thing will go away. I was curious so I looked for an article that discussed why Africa has a lower number of cases/deaths than most of the rest of the world, and I found this from those muckrakers at the BBC: www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-54418613Five reasons - 1) they acted quickly to establish quarantines and mask mandates, 2) Public support (no one turned wearing masks into a political statement), 3) a population that has a high percentage of young people and very few old folks homes with older people housed together, 4) favorable climate (so Marge got one right) - the worst numbers are in South Africa where the climate can get colder, which makes people stay inside together more - also they have limited public transportation and a large percentage of their population stays close to home all the time, helping to reduce the spread and 5) their public health systems had experience dealing with the Ebola outbreaks so they were good at isolating and contract tracing. So - Marge’s claim that Africans have been safely treating COVID patients with animal dewormer ‘for decades’ = liar liar pants on fire. Which is what I expected from her.

That is apparently what republicans are aiming for now. Has anyone on leadership done anything to rein this in?

He is too busy shoving his nose up someone’s nether regions. Marge Greene said McCarthy was weak and didn’t stand up to the Rinos that needed to be kicked out of the party like Cheney. She also said that McCarthy didn’t have the support of the party and wouldn’t have the votes to lead the House should the GOP retake it this year. Then the two of them had a nice private meeting and suddenly Marge thinks he’s great again. A little ass kissing I guess.

The Republican party hasn't had any since they joined the Trump show and got sucked into his antics. Now, they are trying to outdo each other to say or do the most outrageous thing to get the approval of his following. Followers, not leaders.

It seems that just about everyone pisses them off at some point, so they could dwindle that group down to only the nuttiest of nutters. Gov Ducey didn't support the audit - kick him out. McConnell said something against Trump - kick him out. Collins not voting for every single thing - kick her out. Lindsey Graham promoting the vaccine - kick him out. It would be total chaos.

Add to the list GOP rep Nancy Mace, who got called ‘trash’ by Marge who, in her best middle school mean girl way, is pissed because Mace criticized Boebert for being racist. www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/greene-calls-fellow-republican-trash-of-gop-conference/ar-AARiWRQI like your idea of all the sane GOPers abandoning the loons. Let them spend their time ugly tweeting while the rest of congress actually does stuff. Might make a good reality show. Like Big Brother, where everyone competes to see who can be the most vile.

How many sane republicans in congress are there? There do not seem to be enough to make a difference.
Unless you think most of them are cowards. If so, that disqualifies most of them from being considered sane.
