Hi! The wedding weekend went well. Because we had almost everyone travel to us, we really had guests from Friday - Sunday. My baby was happy and appreciative. Does this count toward 100 items gone? We're waving good-bye to my SIL. She helped us the entire weekend from set up to clean up.

I hope you feel better soon moneysquirrel . How was the wedding Knee Deep in Water Chloe ? How did DD's move go busymom ? How did it go with the organizer TheOtherMe ? I washed our bedding yesterday. I miss our cleaner lol. This week
- see A/Mon - beauty treatment/Tues - medical pedicure/Tues - pharmacy - transfer photos to computer Moving day went very well. The moving company worked quickly, yet managed not to damage anything. DD gave them a good tip. DD sort of forgot to tell me that she'd offered to be hostess for a bridal shower this week. If we had been able to stick with the original moving date, she wouldn't be so rushed right now, but it appears the shower will be done on schedule. Fortunately, DD's generation doesn't do them quite as fancy as our generation did. She'll just have to put together a fruit tray, a vegetable tray, and some sweets, and her friends should be happy.

When I took out the trash and recycling this morning, I took out a box of plastic envelopes that had contained items shipped to me. Probably 25 of the envelopes are gone.

It's finally vacation time here! I probably won't take my computer, which means I'll be reading but not posting much. First DD will be holding down the fort, then DS3, then a good friend from Paris who is very happy to have access to a garden while we're all together.

Hi Kids! The bridal shower DD was the hostess for went well. Two of the invited guests didn't show up at the last minute because they weren't feeling well. The heat index was over 100 here yesterday, but they stayed home just in case it was Covid. At least they were being thoughtful. The bride enjoyed the party, and got some nice gifts. DD had a lot of leftover fruit & vegetables, so she'll be bringing some of it over here tonight, and we'll be making stir fry. I'm impressed with how quickly she got the house pulled together, considering the big move was just last weekend.

Tossed a very old collapsible bowl and lid last night. The latter had two cracks in it which caused my salad earlier this week to leak, and the bowl by itself isn't very practical.

I am finally going for my COVID vaccine today, in about 30 minutes actually, so I am hoping that I don't get knocked off my feet after. My goal for the next few days is to do the "back to school" organizing of both boys' bedrooms, so we can start the school year off on a good foot. I need to go through the clothes and play the "does this still fit" game and just do a general put everything in its place from a summer of lazy cleaning.

Harvested a few more cucumbers today and got the pool clean(er) with the limited chlorine I was able to find this year. The kitchen and living room are still a mess but I’m working on it!
I would love to get my laundry done tomorrow so I can pack for NY if my meetings allow.
I’ve also booked all my travel for Mexico in the fall and I’m so looking forward to it!

(I actually tried to post this last night, but it didn’t upload.) I’m halfway through the days for this spread. (Dailies are too much for me in the summer.) Because I’m frugal, I’m finishing out the this notebook even though it’s formatted to be two pages for each single day. I’m not sure if that’s simplifying my life or complicating it. 🤦🏻♀️

Good Morning Kids! I was looking through the basement last night, and amazed at how much LESS stuff we have since DD moved. Yes, she took everything that we were aware were her things. I haven't seen this little in the crawl space since we moved in here. Still, we do need to go through our things one more time, before we look into finishing our basement. It's been started, as in the drywall is up & painted, but we still need to make final plans on things, like the exact location of the bathroom. And, we need to get the heating vents, ceiling, and flooring done. But WOW, what a difference one kid moving out can make. I've already taken over her old closet space, using it to store my dress clothes. (Yes, my own closet is much too crowded.) Her room will be turning into my craft room, not that I've had time to do any of that in awhile...

Good morning! We've been in the trailer since Thursday, and we depart for home Tuesday morning. We're at our previous town where the vast majority of our family lives. I have medical appointments, it's DS's birthday, and we're babysitting Miss Grandbaby while her parents still don't have regular daycare.
That does mean that I can't purge at home, but I am working on some other projects for work and school.
busymom, DD#1 just asked me if she was supposed to take her wedding dress with her when she leaves our house today. Yes, you goofball, we're not your storage area anymore. You're all adult like now.
debthaven, I hope you're having a great time!
startsmart, yay for Mexico in the fall!
Iggy aka IG, you've passed the 10% mark on the purging goal! Yay! nikiz628, I hope you're past any side effects from the vaccine. The second one knocked me out for about 36 hours.
TheOtherMe, how's it going?

The Organizer will be coming on August 30.
My Chewy order just arrived and I set it up as an autoship.
My sister and I talked yesterday. I called to tell her I will get some SS that I thought I would never get when she asked me if I was considering going to Toronto to babysit. I told her of my misgivings and she told me of hers and suggested that if we do it together, we can do it. Neither one of us feel confident in taking care of a toddler 24/7 the first time his parents leave him overnight for several days. I am going to present that to DN1 this afternoon and see what he thinks about this idea.
I mentioned that I want to go to the old family cemetery (from the 1800's) in Ashland Ohio on the way back and she said of course she would go there.

Good morning all. I overslept this morning and now am trying to get things caught up. Laundry in in the dryer and budget is updated. Outside plants have been watered as they were a little droopy this morning. All monthly bills are paid and I was able to add some money into my vacation fund. Hoping for one in 2022 -- am not planning anything for this year as of now. The area is experiencing a rise in infections and several area are going back into mini-lockdown. Several places will only serve you indoors with proof of vaccination starting this weekend. I will continue to wear my mask as I have been doing throughout the year and staying in as much as possible. Between the heat and the virus, I have no intention to venture far from home. Only necessary errands will be done as is my usual. I have been wasting time putting together a jigsaw puzzle. I purchased this one decades ago and while decluttering came across it. It is a Christmas theme 1000 piece puzzle and I will glue it together and use it as part of my decor during the season. Once it is done than that box willl be out of here even if the finished project will not. debthaven -- Enjoy your vacation. Knee Deep in Water Chloe -- Try to rest. life is hectic but rest is needed. Glad that the wedding turned out great. TheOtherMe -- things seem to be working out for you. The organizer seems to have helped you get more items out of the house. busymom -- isn't it nice to see clear spaces. To all, have a great weekend.

I've been very... low-key this weekend (I won't say lazy) and I think that's because I'm working and traveling next weekend and need this time to rest. I did get my laundry done today and procrastinating worked! Yesterday it was 108 and then rained, today it was 73, clear and most of the time at the laundry mat no one else was there.
I've got to pack my bags for the trip and plan out my work for the short week.
Flights and hotels are booked for Mexico (I'm a tad bit excited) and I want to explore new things on this trip that I've never done before. I did book a reservation for a restaurant I loved the last time I visited where all the ingredients are grown on the farm.
This afternoon I need to deal with the clean laundry, finish doing the dishes, clean out the fridge and freezer and then prep the bathroom walls for paint.

Knee Deep in Water Chloe- No real side effects experienced! Just a sore, swollen arm. Nothing I couldn't handle. I've heard its round 2 that really pulls the rug out from under you.

My worst reaction, if you can call it that (sore arm, tired...) was from the first shot. I hardly had any problem after shot #2. (By the way, I had Pfizer.)

I've had 2 and had less reaction with the second than the first, and I hardly had any reaction to the first. With the first one I felt like I had a slight bruise where they put the needle in. I only noticed it when there was pressure on it for some reason. Not even that much for the second one.

Our church is back to doing a yearly garage sale. Probably not the best timing, with Covid ramping up and all, but I dropped off some items for them to sell. It IS a fundraiser for the church, after all. I wish I would've had the time to go through more things, but with DD's move getting delayed, it was the best I could do. At least there are still organizations that do pick-ups, like a couple of veteran's charities, and the Epilepsy foundation.

Cleaned out the freezer today so a lot of things are sitting in the trash at the end of my driveway.

Kids room back to school clean up is complete. I pulled 40 items DS1 had out grown, but I won’t count these towards the summer 100 challenge because I am keeping them in a tote for DS2 to grow in to. However, I did pull and can count 92 items that DS2 had outgrown. These will be sold or donated. Now the rooms and closets are neat and tidy and ready to go back to school next Tuesday.

The garage sale went okay, of course I wish we would have sold more. My updated count for now is 33/100. Tomorrow or the next day I'm making a huge Goodwill run. While it isn't all mine I will update my count then with the things that are mine. My brother installed the new curtain rod in the office and helped me get my desk moved back into place. Sunday was spent getting things moved back into the office. Everything in the house is more or less back where it belongs. DD and the kids left Saturday night, they wanted to be home on Sunday since that is the only day DSIL gets off. That is family day and they make an effort to do things as a family. I still have a few toys to put away in the living room. My Aunt described it perfectly. There is kid clean, mom clean, and Grandma clean. The living room is at Mom clean, which is fine but I want to kick it up to Grandma clean. I don't expect it to be perfectly clean when they leave. The garage is still a work in progress because of the garage sale. ETA: I bought a toddler cot just before they arrived. That thing was worth every penny I spent. DGS slept on it at night and we put it in the garage back behind the tables during the day and the kids would sometimes lay down and rest or sit on it and play.

The garden is finally producing tomatoes! So of course I'm going out of town and will need to catch up when I get back. Now I'm actually wishing for hotter weather because I have the best pool floaty that allows me to stay cool and relax in the pool to get some sun. I have 2 months to build up a base tan so I don't fry and burn on my first day in Mexico!
Not looking forward to the mask part of traveling these days but I do feel ready to go. My car is packed for the morning so all I need are the dogs and the dog beds so they'll sleep most of the way. I think I'm going to leave my sewing projects at home because it's such a hassle to travel with scissors through TSA but I might decide that in the morning.
