Hi Kids! DH actually got an entire day off from work, so we worked on the basement for a bit. And, found a box of old tax paperwork that I can probably shred. (We only need to keep the last 7 years, right?)

(We only need to keep the last 7 years, right?) Generally yes. Keep any papers that relate to any assets, etc. that is still on your tax return for 7 years after that is sold. You sold a house this year. That paperwork needs to be kept for 7 years.

Saturday I met the Grand Nephew and had "baby brain" for several hours. He's a cute kid and is quite strong. Yesterday: ~Made a scrumptious brunch of blueberry pancakes and cheesy eggs, and DH cooked bacon on the Traeger
~Did 4 loads of laundry, including sheets ~Washed lots of dishes ~Scrubbed all toilets ~Emptied 3 garbage cans
~Read a bit ~Cleared out a few hours from the DVR ~Prepared boiled eggs and produce for the week

I got most of the items off my last week list but a few are lingering.
The house was cleaned this morning and that feels so good. Now I have to put a few things back in place. I managed to trash several items this morning and will be going through several more areas in the attempt to eliminate additional items. I did not sleep well last night so a nap may be in order later this afternoon if I find that I cannot function.
My major goal this week is to go to Sam's during their senior hours tomorrow as I am in need of resupplying a lot of the basic cleaning/household items. Hope that I can find everything that I need so that I won't have to continue searching for them every time I go to a WM. It will be my first trip there in over a year so I want to go early and get finished before the store opens for regular business hours.
Upcoming March 9-13:
*Sam's Run -- Tuesday *Class -- Tuesday *Classes -- Thursday *Errands -- Bank, Dillard's *Finish necklace set *Take photos of new projects *Organize at least three areas *Maintain current progress
Need to catch up of the thread and comment later. Hope all of you are doing well.

I FINALLY got my office furniture completely done and the office is painted. I'm going to give the carpet and spray and wash and then hang a few pictures and it's all done!
Now I can start pecking away at the spare room.

I am getting ready to head out to DD's place and will finally get to empty my car of all her things I've been hauling around for weeks. I was on my way to her place a couple weeks ago when Bro called and let me know that Dad had passed so I turned around and came back home. Some of this stuff has been in my car since Feb 16th. I will be glad to have it gone. There are still a few things here at the house that will need to go but that will be for another trip. DD now lives about a 4 hour drive away so I am going to drive over this afternoon, spend the night and drive back tomorrow.

Four bags of trash out of the basement! There are several more, but my knees can stand only so many trips up and down the stairs, and trash day always sneaks up on me.
Tomorrow, a sewing machine and a large portion of my fabric stash will go to the high school visual arts department. That will free up some space to move things around and collect items to be picked up by Bumblejunk in one spot. I can see the walls in two corners of the basement!

Congratulations laterbloomer ! I'd love to see photos if you're happy to share. :-) It sounds like the spare room is a huge job ... would it be better to paint one of the other rooms you wanted to paint first? You seem to be very good and quick at painting. I think it was your bedroom and the den? Maybe one (or both) would be a quick job? That could be one or two more things to cross off your list! Just a thought! moneysquirrel first trip in a year, wow! You really are incredibly well-organized! Good luck Sharon ! That's a long drive. Dishwasher run and emptied, laundry caught up. DH saw the dentist today. That's the end of his "medical marathon" (6 appts in 8 days). Whew!!!

I just spoke with my friend, the woodworker. this sideboard is going to be fantastic, I can't wait. will post pictures when it's here. he also made a passing comment about coming back north in the summer to do some cabinet refacing for someone. we will be talking about that for my house when he's here with the sideboard. I have yet to find a color I like for the open concept space that includes the weird cabinet shade in the kitchen. it's a strange greenish gray, which isn't so bad with the previous couple's decor and paint colors. but it doesn't work with the colors I like in my spaces.

I was looking for something in the bathroom cabinet last night and found all of these that I wondered why I have. They are all in the trash for this week.
I let my pierced ears grow back at least 20 years ago. I found a pair of earrings. One pair. They are going.

I have never figured out how to post pictures here. Me neither LOL.
And it might be a good idea to paint my bedroom next. Like I said, you always seem to paint so quickly and painlessly.
I saw elsewhere that you got the WFH job ... congratulations!!!
Any time off between ending the old job and starting the new job?
Personally I think I'd rather "finish" the rooms I've already decluttered, so they're truly "done". Especially since that last room sounds like it needs a lot of work. With everything else done, you'd have more peace of mind, I think. :-)

TheOtherMe what about giving the earrings to your grandniece? They are straight out of the 70's. The last jewelry of mine I gave her, she tossed. I'm not bothering with simple, cheap post earrings.

I still have the very first pair of earrings I bought after I had my ears pierced. Had a friend ask me if I had earrings to match every outfit. Told her NO but I would eventually have an outfit to go with the earrings! Says a lot about me and love of earrings

Part of my problem with my pierced ears is I am allergic to something in the earrings. So pierced in junior high. 40 years later still causing problems. Finally said enough is enough and let them grow back.

Usually it's nickel causing the issue for me. I have to buy earrings made of say sterling silver or labeled as nickel free.

Hi friends! We are entering our chaotic time of the year, so I am working hard here at home to get as organized and prepared as possible. This year is going to be even busier with DS1 playing both league and travel baseball. Oh, and me just running my own business this year which is WILDLY successful and keeping me busy most days. A typical week is going to look like this for us once games begin: M DS1 league game T DS2 league game/DS1 travel practice W DS1 league game T DS2 league game/DS1 travel practice F DS1 league game (they only actually have 2 a week, but they can be on M,W,F). S Travel Tourney S Travel Tourney Now throw in that I will probably be working the concession stand most of the nights too, and I am not sure how we are going to survive lol. I know we will, but you might find me curled in the fetal position come June. Despite all that nuttiness, and the fact that I DO NOT want to glorify being this busy, I wouldn't trade these days for anything. So my goal for the next week or so is to meal plan through June. Start freezer cooking. Get my planner completely up to date with all the things. And assign routine chores/household stuff to specific days to keep me on track. Also, before we get super busy, I want to get the garage straightened back up from winter storage and clutter. And get the Christmas lights off the roofline now that it's nice out. My flower beds need new mulch like yesterday, so that is a priority outside chore too.

Updating my list: March 9-13:
*Sam's Run -- Tuesday *Class -- Tuesday *Classes -- Thursday *Errands -- Bank, Dillard's *Finish necklace set *Take photos of new projects *Organize at least three areas *Maintain current progress
All other items are in process. Also picked up some vitamins at CVS this morning. Totally out of one I needed. Think I am ok on the others. Got a few at Sam's while I was there yesterday. Also made a trip to the grocery for perishables this morning. Can't get those packaged small enough for one at Sam's.
Tripped this morning and skinned my knee. Otherwise I am ok. My glasses fogged up with the mask on and I missed the step up on the curb heading into a store. Could have been worse.
Good news is that a good friend got her 2nd shot this morning so in a few weeks we can get together. State just lowered the age for some with medical conditions and I think that my DSS is now eligible for the vaccine, not sure about DDIL. My DSis is still not but her DH is. So things are looking up a little. I was not running about prior to the virus but this means that I will have the opportunity to see family and close friends in person. So hope that this process continues for all. I will continue to social distance and wear masks in public in the future. At least the visits with my family and friends will be able to occur soon.

moneysquirrel so happy that you will be able to see friends and family soon! Wow nikiz628 even when I was raising 4 kids I don't think I could have managed that schedule, plus a business! Kudos to you! I am sort of struggling even though (maybe because?) I'm still home. I stupidly thought we'd be online all semester, otherwise I would never have taken on so many hours. I am dreading going back in 10 days (waking up early for the commute). On the other hand, I know getting out of the house will do me good. This weekend- DH Quickbooks - mark 40 videos (not gonna happen but hopefully I'll make good progress) - DH Shitepile

I got my 2nd vaccine today! Makes me so happy. Two weeks for it to be fully effective and I kind start to peek my way back in to the world.

Looks like our new Rescue Act means that I’ll be eligible to get the vaccine by May 1st! This is key because I’m attending a wedding June 5th and would love to visit a bunch of friends while I’m in town.
I’ve been planting tons of seeds in the indoor greenhouse and have a TON to do this weekend.

I just made arrangements to get rid of the extra bedroom set I have. It will be picked up in the next few days. That is the set in the spare room, when they take away that set the will take the good dresser downstairs for me. I am also getting ready to sell my car. With me working from home ISO and I can easily be a one car couple. That is going to be a nice savings!

Sorry TheO, I wasn't really clear. Both DS1 and DS3 live in the UK. But this isn't DS3's grandfather, so he's not coming. DS2 and DD are local.

A rare weekend post. I went to bed at a decent hour last night, so I woke up relatively early. Today's focus is on the "master suite": ~Shower curtain and the 3 bath mats have been laundered ~Next up is the floor, tub, and vanity ~Dust and vacuum our room In addition: ~3 more loads of laundry (am halfway through) ~Dishes ~Finish taxes ~Sweep and Swiffer the main floor ~Clean both sides of the kitchen sink window with DH's help Speaking of, he started removing the old dishwasher in preparation for the new one, and apparently we need a new valve. It's always something!
