they called Indiana for trump at 11%, that's how damn red this dumb state is. And I do mean its really gotten dumbed down, sorry we came back here, should have gone somewhere else I thought this was funny. I didn't even know any polls were closed.

The fact that DH can't see that the reason he can claim "it doesn't matter" who wins is because he's a white straight male is really starting to irritate me.

Explaining that you have daughters that have to grow up and live as adults in whatever world we shape and leave for them, doesn’t make it matter to him? The fact that he has a wife?

He's come a decent amount out of his upper middle class white bubble over the years but he's not as far along as I'd like. Of course his life barely changes it's still a white man in charge either way. I need at least the one from the party that pays lip service to caring about me as a woman to win.
To be fair I am white and straight too so I still come out ahead too regardless of whose president if I hinge my hopes on two out of three.
I choose not to cut off my nose to spite my face. It matters for me as a woman and my daughters and everyone I care about who isn't white or straight.
So no I can't sit here and watch saying it doesn't matter who wins.

I turned the tv on in the bedroom and put it on CNN while DBF and I were putting our freshly laundered sheets on the bed.
By the time we got the bed together, CNN had stressed me out.
I should’ve turned it on in the den instead, because I feel strongly about my bedroom being peaceful and only being associated with good, happy, or relaxing/restful things. I try very hard to not have anything stressful occur or be in my bedroom. No stressful conversations in my bedroom, no anything that isn’t conducive to a peaceful environment for me...... not even drama or suspenseful tv shows or movies..... those have been my “rules” for years.
I am currently hanging out in a part of the house that doesn’t have a tv, period.
I want to look, but I don’t want to. I’m scared that if I do look, it’ll be like being horrified by watching a real live train wreck as it happens.

My county went 80% for Trump.
I'll never understand how people can vote for him or support his leadership (lack there of) of our country.

My state makes me sick. This state is full of racist bigots who care about no one except themselves. I am ashamed to live here.

If Trump wins, I will lose my health insurance along with 47,000,000 other people.
Nothing like blowing out your knee, having blood cancer, and not ever getting medical care again. Hope no one gets COVID. I guess we just die at home.
There will be no stimulus, millions more homeless people, and unnecessary deaths all so Hitler II can force people to work to prop up the economy for his rich friends and his own narcissistic supply.
I just can't do life today.

I just can't do life today. Even if Biden wins, you may lose your health insurance. SCOTUS could make that happen regardless. The question is who will be in office to create a "replacement"? If it is Trump and McConnell, you are screwed. If it is Biden and McConnell, you are likely screwed. If it is Biden and Schiff, you will be okay. If it is Trump and Schiff, you are probably screwed. 😒 Long term, reversing the ACA will create pathways for Medicare for all, or some dual coverage system. Short term, it super-sucks.

Except we are not likely to have the senate for 2 years if then. We all need to turn eyes to Georgia.
Susan Collins now at 51... still reporting only 85% of the vote in though?

Unfortunately I think Susan Collins is going to take it here in Maine and that is upsetting based on the fact that she has done everything Trump has wanted short of crawling in his back pocket. I think Gideon was a good candidate but the oldies just couldn't see what she could offer to change.

I'm seeing 91% in, and it appears that most of the outstanding vote is in the 2nd Congressional, which sent its EV to Trump, so there is little chance for Gideon in Maine.

I just don't think there are enough votes in the 5 Metro counties to make up the difference. Fulton and DeKalb are Atlanta itself. Clayton (84% counted) - Biden (85%) Cobb (89% counted) - Biden (56%) DeKalb (80% counted) - Biden (83%) Fulton (95% counted) - Biden (72%) Gwinnett (95% counted) - Biden (58%)

I'm was talking the run off election. Although I did think we were closer than that now as well.

Perdue is at 50.7% but there might be enough Metro votes to pull him under that threshold and force a run-off. Apparently, that's the Republican 'nightmare scenario' because the other seat will also be a run-off. The fact that Warnock is African-American might be just enough to turnout the vote and simultaneously give Ossoff a boost against Perdue.

I am so depressed. Is this really what America is now? No honor, no logic, no compassion. Total selfishness

There was a point this morning (my time) that I was so stressed out I thought I was having a heart attack. Seriously.

In a stunning bitter disappointment Kayne West has conceded the election. I bet you were all terribly heartbroken about this.

Wondering if Canada needs a really good engineer with a pitbull and medical issues. I was looking at requirements to move to Canada. I think you may have a better chance being an engineer than I do being an accountant. (I could realistically move to Poland--to do what, I don't know--but they just elected a bat shit crazy rightie by a small margin. Plus, even closer to Russia.)

Biden 253 EV. Trump 213. JFC I have never been more stressed about an election in my life. By the end of the night in 2016 I was aware it was over for Clinton even if I did not want to accept it. I can't imagine Trump pulling a win out of his ass but this is the year 2020. Senate Control is 46 Dems and 47 Republicans so neither has a majority. I think I can live with that it's about as balanced as we're going to get right now in America. And there is this www.nbcnews.com/feature/nbc-out/sarah-mcbride-become-first-transgender-state-senator-u-s-history-n1246211Sarah McBride has won her Delaware state Senate race, poising her to become the first and only openly transgender state senator in the U.S. and the country's highest-ranking transgender official.

Yeah... NBC called Michigan for Biden taking him to 253. I he holds onto his lead in Nevada and Arizona then he'll be at 270. I think I'm going to throw up from the stress. How's the feeling on the ground in Arizona thyme4change?

Given all the moves Trump has done to steal the election in his favor, I would have been surprised to see a big Biden win. I hope Biden triumphs and later we can find out about all the illegal stuff that was done by the campaign and those who chose to do it on their own. I expect we will see more Trump voters prosecuted for voter fraud than we may have seen in any recent Presidential election.
