If I'm ever on a work zoom meeting and someone whips out their bits I'll definitely ask them to put them away.  There's a time, a place and for some even a zoom meeting to do that on but usually a work meeting isn't one of them.

It's certainly both amusing and cringeworthy but I'm not sure why he has been suspended.  It doesn't sound as if he deliberately exposed himself and was getting off on being watched.  If he genuinely thought he was indulging in a 'private moment' then I don't think it's fair for him to lose his job.  I would think differently if it had been a zoom call in his work office but it was in his own home.

Bad judgement at the least. People get suspended for things they do accidently all the time. In this case result is more important that intent.

My guess is it was at worst, and he's been self-pleasures to unsuspecting coworkers for some time. It was that he took the added risk of being on a call and got caught. Because jacking off to coworkers in the bathroom wasn't enough.

I wouldn't be shocked if "take time to deal with a personal issue" meant checking himself into Pine Grove in Hattiesburg.

Would you personally feel differently if something similar happened to you and you later found out he was self pleasuring himself by watching you on your video camera? Is it a better or worse "private moment" during a work if its a female self pleasuring to you? If they are ugly and you despise them?

The first article I read made it seem that he was masturbating while unaware his camera was on.  Later on it became clear that this activity took place during an actual meeting.  Now I get why he was suspended!
