Not only for his stance on the 2nd Amendment, my main reason for voting for Trump in 2016, was his position on judge appointments. Where he stands so far... Quote; President Donald Trump has made big changes to the federal judiciary since taking office in 2017. Trump has appointed two Supreme Court justices – Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh – as well as nearly 200 other judges with lifetime appointments to lower federal courts.Quote; Trump has now appointed almost a quarter of all active federal judges in the United States. As of July 7, there were 792 active judges serving across the three main tiers of the federal court system: the Supreme Court, 13 regional appeals courts and 91 district courts governed by Article III of the U.S. Constitution. In his first term, Trump has appointed 194 of those judges, or 24% of the total. (This analysis excludes appointees to certain specialized courts, such as the U.S. Court of International Trade, as well as appointees to non-Article III territorial courts in Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands and the Virgin Islands.) www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2020/07/15/how-trump-compares-with-other-recent-presidents-in-appointing-federal-judges/

Not sure that Clinton was not also pro-appointment of judges and would have nominated an equal number of them.

I voted for him to keep Hillary away from the Supreme Court .......... and in the same circumstances would do it again

I didn't know Hillary wanted to be a Supreme Court justice. Hillary was going to put her husband and Obama on the U.S. Supreme Court or that's what many were told to believe. Would never have flied even if the senate was controlled by Democrats.

There are way, way more damaging people she could put on the court. Bill would be a gift to Republicans. Idiots.

Neither would have taken the job even if she wanted them to. There are times I really wish we had to pass an intelligence and common sense test to be allowed to vote. We have to prove we are qualified to drive. Voting is more important than that.

My parents also want an intelligence test to be allowed to vote, but they are convinced it will block out most of the democrats.

That would eliminate approximately 75% of the Democrat urban vote. Are you sure you want to go that route ?

That's why I wasn't quoting you. You're the one that jumped in. Who altered the highlighting in reply #13? Tallguy highlighted the who sentence and someone took out some of the highlighting? And I replied because you wrote "I wouldn't believe the bolded either." Talk about 'meh' When quoting me you might want to look at what I highlight. Just saying...

An intelligence test is a horrible idea. I believe (at this time in history) it would eliminate R's and D's fairly equally if it was a fair test. But that isn't how this works. Who decides the questions, and who decides the answers? Because if someone wants to eliminate a certain kind of person, it would get super easy, super fast. I really hate when anyone mentions it. It smacks of elitist, entitlement bullshit the likes of Jim Crow. You aren't clever for suggesting it- you are just an asshole who believes that you are better than others. It isn't a good look for either party, so knock it off.
