This was one of my major concerns with this new idiot taking over as the Post Master General & slowing down our mail. My DH gets ALL of his scripts from the VA by mail, including his insulin (refrigerated in foam coolers). And BTW, many scripts are not allowed to be ordered early as other problems arise from that. So "order early" isn't always the answer. connectingvets.radio.com/articles/veterans-affairs-mail-order-prescription-usps-delays

Maybe Congress should do something about it

Maybe Congress should do something about it I wish! But Mitch McConnell doesn't care about anything besides lining his own pockets. That's probably why he & Trump get along so well. Did you hear his wife's family company got a whole lot of that PPP money that was supposed to help small businesses keep afloat?

My son got a notice the other day from CA unemployment. He had 10 calendar days to respond to it. It was dated 7/23 and arrived on 4/3. It wasn't a forward, it was sent directly to our PO box.
On 7/22 I sent a b-day card to my DS who lives 250 miles away here in Oregon. It took until 7/30 to get there.

Between enriching him, his family, confirming judges, and having to deal with trumps craziness, who has time for anything else. The idea that we don’t need some sort of postal system, especially one that works, is insane. Otherwise, if you live in a rural area, be prepared to pay through the nose to have anything delivered. Amazon won’t have a problem delivering things to nyc. Rural Montana, we’ll see how much they will charge when they can’t use the mail

On the 28th I saw my dr and she put in an order for the meds my insurance requires me to use mail in for. With a Tues appt I usually get them on Monday or Tuesday. According to tracking I'm getting it tomorrow which is 10 days later.
My pharmacy uses dhl to the post office...tracking said the post office got it in my city on the 3rd at 6am. It shouldn't take 5 days to get from being dropped off at the post office processing place to mine. Usually it's either delivered that day or the next. Good thing I have almost 12 days left of my meds.

If things get too bad, my DH will start making trips to Tallahassee to have his filled & pick them up there when they are ready. It's over 70 mi. one way, but that's better than him being out of something that can keep his PTSD in check or running out of insulin for his diabetes.
This is really stupid with so many depending on prompt delivery of life saving drugs.

Especially because if it gets bad it's going to cause companies to stop using the fedex/ups/dhl to usps option if it takes the post office a damn week to deliver. Which means they'll get less money.

I'm hoping he is inept at dismantling the USPS. If he wins the election, he won't care that much, and we will find out the guy he appointed is keeping 9 sex slaves in his basement and someone else will get in there and flounder around for a few years, and we will repair it in 2024.

the new PO guy let 23 or so top people in the PO go. Bet they don't even know what they do. He hasn't been there long enough.
Why in Gods name would we want to destroy the PO.
putin must be paying him well.
