I watched the Trial of the Chicago 7. It was interesting...
I just finished Firefly Lane. I enjoyed it...I didn't realize there was a book though. I need to read it.

I watched Firefly Lane a few days ago. I really liked it. There’s only 1 season and it hasn’t been announced if there will be a 2nd season yet; however, the show only premiered earlier this month on Netflix. I started watching this, and the shifts in time really got to me. I also read the book fist, and prefer the book. I’ll probably finish watching this while TD is at work. Kristin Hannah wrote several books that would be interesting to see on screen. I know they are filming/have filmed The Nightingale, I hope they don’t screw this one up.I watched Sarah’s Key yesterday too. I read the book when it came out. Thought the book was incredible, movie was too IMO. We started watching Dr. Foster last night. It’s a BBC series and we got through 3-4 episodes last night. First episode didn’t immediately catch me, but will probably watch more of it as I now want to see what happens. Hmmm... I'm not sure if I'll watch The Nightingale or not. I read it for my bookclub and didn't love it but did think it was interesting. I guess I don't understand why author's will take an incredibly dramatic situation, and I think the Nazi occupation of France counts as dramatic, and then take plot points to such an extreme that it feels obviously staged.

If anyone likes medical documentaries, I recommend “the surgeons cut” and Lennox Hill. Just a warning, you do get to see some surgery being done

Finally saw the documentary “Wild Wild country”. The first episode is a bit slow, but after that, it was fascinating
Behind her Eyes is kinda fun. Wild ride in last 5 minutes.

Watched more Dr. Foster the other night. The series is shifting strangely, not unlike Orphan Black did. I wonder if this is a BBC feature? pulmonarymd.....I watched a filming of a hip replacement surgery, and watching it explained so much. These are incredibly brutal surgeries, where you wind up with bruises in strange areas. Seeing this made it easier to explain to people why people feel like they got beat up....because they were!

Finished the first season of the OA. I liked it mostly. I wish things ended a bit more resolved. I find the whole movement thing really weird and off-putting, and I'm no stranger to that kind of dance. It just seemed really out of place, I guess. Starting the secons season. It makes me happy to look forward to watching something that is very different and is capable of surpriing me.

I finally watched Bridgerton a few weeks ago - it was okay, and I'd watch a second season.
I also watched a movie - Game Night with Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams. I know it's a few years old, but it was pretty funny.

Watched the movie "I Care a Lot" the other night. It was pretty good. A little disturbing when you think this is probably really going on, but I liked it.

I have reached the stage of pandemic where I'm only watching gay romances that end happily. Not sure what's left after this...

I have reached the stage of pandemic where I'm only watching gay romances that end happily. Not sure what's left after this... My husband and I have absolutely nothing to talk about. We are in the same room working. We watch the same TV shows, dame movies. We read the same news sources. When we do have an excuse to go out, we go together. We've been married long enough that we know all the stories from before. When people say "there are no words..." I didn't think about that literally.

I like it but, yes, it was highly disturbing. I thought it could have been better. I wanted her to lose everything and have to live a poor pitiful existence. I felt like that would have been the best punishment.

I like to read a message board on different tv shows, and there seems to be a lot of people that had very different reactions to one season of this show or the other. I liked both, and the second season a little more than the first. It had more definitive answers, vs. the big question marks left after the first season.

I recently watched Tell Me Your Secrets on Prime. I like it a lot. I also finished Firefly Lane and Ginny & Geogia on Netflix. I enjoyed both of those.

It seems so satisfying to get a wrap up after only a few episodes. It was pretty good. It had an ending that I didn't necessarily expect.

I'm currently watching Marvelous Mrs Maisel on Prime, I'm really enjoying it. When I saw the first episode, I thought it might not be for me, but it is. Just a fun show.

I watched Hinterland with DH on Netflix. Great show if you like British mysteries. It takes place in Wales and each episode can stand on it's own, yet there is a storyline that runs through all the episodes. I want more of it!

I've remained in dark and creepy mode and am just wrapping up Season 1 of Mindhunter about the development of the behavioral science unit and criminal profiling in the FBI.

We just started watching Dexter on Prime. I was never a big tv person, so didn't see it when it aired. Kind of a cool concept!

I loved The Casketeers. It's a series about a Maori couple in NZ who run a funeral home. Yeah, I know that sounds weird but the husband and wife are wonderful people, the employees are like family and the husband has weaknesses (junk food, buying cars and lawn equipment, being a clean freak) which his wife tolerates and keeps in balance so it's fun to watch. They also serve a variety of ethnic groups and each (Maori, Samoans, Tongans, etc,) have their own customs, sometimes blended with Christianity in interesting ways. One funeral had a procession led by 3 Anglican priests who passed by a haka, which is a group of costumed Maoris dancing and chanting.
I hope they have a second season!

I've watched 3 episodes of The Serpent. I'm enjoying it but also find it a bit disturbing. The time line is all over the place too. Time jumping seems to be "the thing" these days. Seems like a lot of shows do it now. I don't mind it so much but sometimes I miss just watching a story play out from beginning to end.
