WASHINGTON (AP) — Chief Justice John Roberts spent a night in a hospital last month after he fell and injured his forehead, a Supreme Court spokeswoman said Tuesday night.
Roberts was walking for exercise near his home June 21 when he fell, court spokeswoman Kathleen L. Arberg said in an emailed statement. The injury required sutures, she said, and out of an abundance of caution, Roberts stayed in the hospital overnight.
Roberts’ injury and hospitalization was first reported by The Washington Post, which reported that the fall happened at the Chevy Chase Club in Maryland.
Roberts, 65, suffered a seizure at his summer home in Maine in 2007, causing a fall that resulted in minor scrapes, and had a similar episode in 1993. Arberg said that Roberts’ doctors “ruled out a seizure” this time.
Interesting. I didn't know he'd had seizures in the past.
Edited to fix my date in the subject line.

He better hang in there until mid-January. I cannot watch Mitch McConnell happily change his tune about presidential elections, people should speak, blah, blah, whatever. It will make my blood boil. That guy is the worst.

I think we need to get to end of August/Early Sept.as it's usually something like a min. of 90 days to get thru the process of selecting a new Justice. And if Chief Justice Roberts leaves the Court, the new Chief Justice has to go thru Congress to be approved in some shape or form. I don't remember what and I'm too lazy to go looking up the process right now.
3 decisions left, by the way.

Did you mean June in the subject line? I think I'm thinking it's August and not July. Rushing the year much, self?

Not good having seizures. As the parent of an epileptic--no, not it's not.

They would have until January until the new congress starts. They will gladly spend extra days in DC to put another 40 year old white supremacist in there. And, if they are lame duck and have been voted out, they won't have to pretend, they could put in an anti-abortion activist in there, and there is nothing anyone could do. They could and likely would jam them through.
