As mentioned above on September 30 to
marvholly, I am checking in about last month's $100 monthly grocery shopping reduction sustainability. We basically were out of frozen proteins by this past Monday. We still had frozen veggies, etc., as well as lots of food in the pantry.
I conducted my monthly shopping last night. When I do this, I round up or down at .50 and note it next to each item, and the total comes out fairly close. Last night I predicted $259, and my total was $259.78.
So, regarding the $200/month goal: I was at $190 before heading to the HBA and cleaning sections. A gal's gotta preen and clean stuff.
Overall I saved 27% off my order using e and paper coupons, and buying sale items. Among the winners:

Oh, and the other thing I did to save money yesterday: ***I PAID OFF MY CREDIT CARD!!!!!!!!!***
Today I nearly tripled my school loan payment.
For the office, I am going to make a harvest mix: Reese's Pieces, PB filled pretzels, mini Reese's PB cups, and sesame mix. Place them into clean jars I've been saving up this year. I'll cover the lid with a pretty material, and tie with ribbon. I'll deliver these to clients for Halloween along with 2015 wall calendars.
