I sure hope so. We seniors don't like being treated as disposables.

Are you trying to tell me that each senior citizen doesn't have a legion of aides working to keep a virus free bubble around them?

Hard to vote for a president that gleefully tells you to drop dead, alone and in pain.

Hard to vote for a president that gleefully tells you to drop dead, alone and in pain. No, just drop dead quietly and without fuss, and with an underlying condition that can be put on the death certificate. Otherwise, you’re making him look bad in an election year.

That is the argument. Only problem they forget that healthcare is a big part of the economy. And if we are doing nothing but covid, a lot of the medical economy is shut down, and that is bad for that portion.

Well, since Ga. never really shut down. I'm helping the economy as much as possible.
In May I had a epidural. In June when back to the ortho to tell him it didn't work. He scheduled an MRI. In June went to see my PCP. Nothing changed there except he finally made the appt. I'd asked for with a dermatologist. I'd asked over a year ago...I reminded him. The MRI was done last Wed. Next Tue. I have an appt. with my urologist. The Tue. after that is the dermatologist appt.
Meanwhile, DH had a VA appt. on last Tue. He has 3 more VA appts. in July.
If nothing else, we will help the economy buying gas. My Dr.s are all 50 mi. from us 1 way & DH's VA appts. are either 75 mi. 1 way or 150 mi. 1 way.
After some really bad stuff happening to me & other relatives here in our little town...I won't use the Dr.s or hospital here.

If you keep this up I will have to declare myself a senior as well (though I AM about 5 months younger than Tennesseer ) and I am not ready for that yet!

Which is why the Republican point on this is not going over well

Lived most of my life in Houston, Texas where Dan Patrick got his start as a sports broadcaster on the local news. He's known for letting cheerleaders paint him Oiler Blue. He's a fucking moron who has been an asshole since the 80's if not longer. Nice caption on the pic too. His motto you might say.

My reply to him...YOU FIRST! this attitude is 1000 years old, at least. it is the old slave owner attitude: the only value you have is how much you can do for me. get to work.

We FL seniors are doing our best. Hoping when it does turn, it washes Trump out to sea and takes the Governor and all their cronies with them, out into international waters, where no one can hear them or see them. No one can float on the bed of lies the size these two have created.

Which is why the Republican point on this is not going over well Is there an official age that "senior" kicks in? From Wiki: "Senior citizen is a common euphemism for an old person used in American English, and sometimes in British English. It implies that the person being referred to is retired.[27][28][29][30] This in turn usually implies that the person is over the retirement age, which varies according to country. Synonyms include old age pensioner or pensioner in British English, and retiree and senior in American English. Some dictionaries describe widespread use of "senior citizen" for people over the age of 65.[31]"

Typically it is 65, but the reality is that chronological age and biological age are not the same. People with good health and habits typically measure younger, and the opposite is true if you do not take care of yourself

He already has a spot picked out on property in N.J. He showed it off back when he was running for pres. It looked like a nice rolling pasture that he was going to mess up big time.

Hey you called yourself a senior. I didn't, but I don't want to fight you by contradicting you either.
