Does anyone here know of a shoe maker shop. Ive really looked into this and there are a few repair shops or specialized shops for people who have specific orthopedic needs.
I want a pair or two made for me. My feet are ridiculously wide. I usually purchase shoes 1/2 to a full size larger just so my fat feet will fit in the shoe. I would love to have a pair of shoes that fit me properly.
Can anyone offer any help?

If you want women's dress shoes, I got nuthin'.
However, if you want casual shoes like sneakers or the kind of slip-on hiking shoes and mules Merrell, Rockport, and other similar companies make, you might be able to find what you need by purchasing the men's version of the shoe. Of course, if you have very small feet, this will not work, but if you wear women's size 8 or larger, you might be able to get the fit you need with the men's versions of various styles, which look the same as the women's versions but are sized differently. Men's medium width is much wider than women's medium, and men's wide width is wider still. I have both wide feet and high arches, so I, too, need wide shoes, which are difficult to find in women's styles. Several brands make slip-on leather mules and other androgynous styles that are basically identical in men's and women's versions, so I've had good luck with the men's sizes. The standard Dansko shoes (the ones with the wooden soles that doctors and nurses wear) do not fit me in women's sizes, but the same style in the men's version is wider and fits well. Many styles of Rockport oxfords and sneakers are the same in men's and women's versions, and Merrell's slip-on mules and clogs and suede slip-on walking shoes are identical as well.

I don't know about your part of the USA, but I've ordered shoes online from Hitchcock at wideshoes.com (for a male relative), and I believe they go up to 4E in womens for width. They also have a few styles that are wider than 4E. I used to work in the shoe industry, and sadly a lot of women DO purchase men's shoes to get a greater width. Wherever you find what you need, good luck!

I don't have any suggestions on a shoemaker in the area, just finding a place to do repairs is tough. There is a US shoemaker that I almost tried when Orthofeet dropped my favorite black oxfords. SAS or apparently now sasnola.com . In a spot check some of the women's shoes go up to a double wide. Really depends on style and color.

☹️ to both pairs. Size 6, 4E. Too tight. Darn it! Did you like any of the styles that come in 6E? Might be worth a try... (I know, the selection is limited in that range.)

Sorry to hear it didn't work out. Did you try any shoes that are stretchy in the areas you need the most room? Something like this- www.orthofeet.com/products/narine-stretchableTry not to give up hope. I had a horrible run of about a year and a half when they discontinued my favorite work shoes and sneakers and nothing I ordered worked. Then one day I placed an order, and I found shoes that fit well again. I returned a fair amount of shoes during those months. Once I ordered three different possibilities and each sucked for me its own unique way.
