From the link: Normally, we vote in 270 polling locations across the county.
This is not one polling location. This is one building with eighteen polling locations inside. See, not that bad. We would probably be fussing about it if they took 270 locations down to 18. It is just worse that they are all in one location. Easier for people with cars and forgiving jobs. Harder for people with rigid schedules and only public transportation options. How many hours would it take someone to get there from the farthest point? I was going for: "I had $270 in my desk. Now there's only $1" "You didn't look well enough. There is actually $18 so you are $17 ahead. Now don't you feel better."

Well we made it through Election Day without any major issues. There were long lines in Louisville and Lexington, reportedly up to 2 hours. There were 100 poll workers and 300 voting booths, so I think the lines looked worse than they were and were spread out for social distancing. Anyone in line by 6 pm was allowed to vote. The 2 major D candidates for Senate asked for poll hours to be extended and were denied. Turnout was better than other recent primaries and there were plenty of opportunities to vote early. And there will be runoff for D senate race.

I think it’s unconscionable to close voting at 6 pm... we need Election Day to be a paid holiday.

I thought the Polls were always open until 8 pm. DH and I usually don't get home from work until after 6pm. They are definitely trying to make it difficult for people to vote. This should be illegal.
Were the Polling hours always going to cut off at 6pm or did they close at 6 pm because the lines were so long?

But every person had the opportunity for “no reason” early mail in voting. It was publicized way more than the actual voting date. All you needed was to request a ballot.

Where was the polling location in Lexington? The only facility I could think of that would be large enough would be Rupp Arena.

Kroger field (football stadium) They had entrances on both sides, looked like the lines were under the stands, not sure where the actual voting rooms were.

I doubt they count all the votes anyway, likely will pitch a bunch. Those people are worthless.

I just can't fathom that KY hasn't had enough of that disgusting McConnell yet. Makes me fucking sick.
