Apparently the reason why tRump thought he was goin* to have such a YUGE turn out, but wound up a piss poor turn out was that teens got together and started signing up for tickets. I am ROFLMFAO at this twitter thread....cats signing up for tickets

Good for them though I wish they were 18 and eligible to vote.

Evidently this has happened at nearly every rally, however, for this one the kids out-did themselves getting LOTS of participation. And some woman ended up with 300 tickets...even some for her cats.

Well time to round up the terroristic, antiAmerican teens into concentration camps.

Now that this trick is out in the open, I bet more teens will get in on the action. Will be hard to counter, as they are likely more tech savvy than his typical supporters. If they raise the price, he might price some of his supporters out. And if the local party controls it, might not get his most rabid crowd. Will be fun to watch. Also interesting to see what his supporters will do if cases continue to spike in the places he wants/needs to go

I read somewhere that this has been done to some extent for all Trump's rallies, and the Trump camp said that it doesn't matter because they give out more tickets than the venue can hold; it's first come, first served to actually be seated; and more people show up with tickets than there is room for, which is why Trump was planning on addressing the overflow crowd outside.

It doesn’t matter for getting in. It matters for them bragging about a million tickets and setting up an overflow stage. It matters because they should have realized the data they were gathering was useless. 2 stories... heightened, unfounded expectations... and low turnout. Together... positively delicious...

If you consider that despite giving out 800,000 tickets about 9000 showed up, they didn’t even fill the arena. The thought that there would be extreme overflow for a second outdoor rally requires them to make preparations....that cost $$. But they didn’t even fill the 19,000 arena.....which means that not as many is as enamored with tRump as he thinks, or more are paying far more attention to social distancing guidelines than we thought. I did think it was f7nny that the party line was that protesters made it difficult for those with tickets to enter the arena. More lies.

Given the poll results showing the divide on believing the facts about the virus, wearing of masks, etc, the behavior indoors in regards to masks, and the governors of the states with the worst outbreaks, the majority of republicans are morons about the virus and refuse to listen to science. If you support people who spout that sort of idiocy, I have to question your sanity and intelligence as well. Sorry if that upsets you. But then, maybe you should demand better from the republicans, and not blindly vote for them

I know a number of Trump supporters who take the virus seriously. Not all Republicans are morons, just as not all Democrats are saints on every issue.
Trump is a worthless POS, but I am not prepared to write off a huge segment of the population for being swayed by a conman.

What does supporting a worthless pos make you. Any excuse for supporting him now is ridiculous. His main job is protect all Americans, not just his base, and he has failed miserably, as 100k dead attests. Then he criticizes Biden over the H1N1 response when this has killed 10 times as many. And he continues to lie about the virus. How can you support him, his administration, and the Republican party’s total abdication of leadership on this issue. As they say, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. Vote for him again, and you have told me all I need to know. You support 1 lying every time he opens his mouth 2 name calling 3 locking children in cages 4 separating children from their parents, and not even being competent to get the information to reunite them in the future 5 making fun of the military and their families 6 threatening to use the military against American citizens on US soil 7 the complete failure at any attempt to contain the virus 8 holding rallies in the face of overwhelming medical advice against 8 hawking an unproven and potentially dangerous treatment for the virus, and refusing to correct it when it has been discredited 9 refusing to provide leadership about mask wearing, so it is now seen as a political point instead of a public health issue 10 encouraging armed protesters in the michigan state house during a pandemic So, excuse me for judging

Student loans, public schools, etc. have all been damaged during his administration. If they want to be a part of change, I'm all for it.

Look at her history and you will see that she doesn't. To me, it looks like she supports not generalizing a group of people as idiots because that group doesn't believe in what you do.

It cost somebody money. Trump frequently stiffs people on the bills. This is gonna be on the RNC. Governor Desanctimonius could care less. Trump's Florida boy hooker just wants the publicity. He'll swallow the loss (pun and visual intended) and take it away from people who actually need the money or the virus testing and just keep whining that the damned immigrants here are to blame for the rising numbers and deflect about the actual numbers by pointing out the average age of those testing positive for COVID-19 is getting lower. Like either of those things actually mitigates anything.

It's a fun stunt by the teens but I would rather no one had wanted to go rather than have them blocked out.
