Dogs eat poop out of the kitty litter box. Sabah ate rabbit poop like it was fine chocolate. My dog buddy eats rabbit poop. To be fair, so do rabbits.

Says the person who plays a doctor on a message board. And, I'm not the only person to point out your chances of being one are about 0.001%... I’ve not seen anyone else claim he wasn’t a doctor. Why do you think he isn’t? He has given me zero reason to be suspicious that he isn’t actually a doctor. And I say that as someone who probably disagrees with him on almost every political point. Just because I don’t agree with him doesn’t mean he isn’t actually a doctor. Never questioned the doctor part, but I have to say though I was pretty thrown when I found out PMD was a "he" and not a "she". For some reason I always assumed he was a woman until the post about his wife and kids. Took me like a week to get over that shock. 🤣

I literally almost said the same thing in my reply. I don’t know why I thought he was a woman.

Considering the post I was referring to specifically stated he was the biological parent lacking a vagina...yes.

Why would you say that?

I did not think pot would be so damaging to a dog. It's legal in my state and I live in a really liberal town. Thanks for the posts! I'd be devastated if one of my dogs ate some and got sick.

One of my favorite episodes of "The Remarkable Dr. Pol" had a guy come in with his dog who was acting strangely. The guy was really upset. They ran all kinds of tests and- it turned out that the dog had chewed up a styrofoam cup containing the "roaches" (ends of marijuana cigarettes). The owner had noticed that (blamed it on roommates who were smoking pot even though he'd told them not to) but hadn't mentioned it right away. Yeah, the doggie was a bit stoned. He recovered.

I just love that show. Such a kind, warm, but practical, vet.

I am happy to report my dog has since made a full recovery.
Thankfully, she no longer wants to roam like she did, though. She stays pretty close to us. She will now go off the deck to go pee without us right next to her, but she's in and out pretty quick. She has been to visit the neighbor when they were cooking on the grill.

I'm not a pet person at all but I loved how caring he was, and how well he understood the needs of people whose animals were family pets or necessary farm animals, and the simple, practical techniques he taught the younger vets. I've got Netflix only now and that's one show I really miss. (Too cheap to add more channels.)

Are you a vet? If not, you should stop with your misinformation and let the professionals give their opinion Says the person who plays a doctor on a message board. And, I'm not the only person to point out your chances of being one are about 0.001%... You will be know as a 0.001%percenter regarding the US economy and medical opinions. Please let me know how you feel so that I can adjust my gains accordingly.

Ask mmhm or moon if you like. Since you can’t refute what I said, you attack me. You don’t like it when hoops does it to you. BTW, I agree more often than not with you. I am sorry you have had bad experiences with the medical profession in the past. Don’t take it out on me I will confirm that pulmonarymd is, in fact, a physician. You owe him an apology, @shastasnewlife.

I think we have figured out where the stuff came from.
A neighbor about 5 places down is a very talented baker and chef, and she is quite creative when it comes to marijuana edibles. We have not talked to her yet, but the general consesus is that Susie likes her edibles and makes them often. She is also an animal lover and would be devastated to find out she hurt an animal.
This is the lady that invites the dog in for a snack (real food, not marijuana laced food) and a nap.
I'm tryiing to figure out how to approach this

Can you put out a flyer for the neighborhood and say that Anna got sick and it was determined that she had high levels of medical grade THC in her blood. Anna’s ok, but as a PSA that THC can be toxic in dogs and you just want the neighborhood know about your experience?

This is the lady that invites the dog in for a snack (real food, not marijuana laced food) and a nap. I'm tryiing to figure out how to approach this She may very well be devastated to find out she hurt an animal, but she still needs to know so she doesn't do it again. Whatever chain of events led to your dog ingesting something that made her sick needs to be traced and eliminated. If she truly cares about animals and it does turn out she had a role in it, she should want to figure out what happened so she doesn't do it again. I would just tell her what happened and ask her if she has any idea how it happened. This is probably one of those awkward life events that just has to be endured because it has to be done. You can acknowledge that you understand the conversation is awkward but you're sure she would want to solve the problem as much as you do. Fortunately, the dog is fine now, so it's just an issue of figuring out how it happened and preventing a recurrence.
