he doesn't learn. He's not capable. In order to learn you have to recognize you don't know something or did something wrong.
I say let him keep making these public faux pas. He's not impressing anyone. His base still loves him.

won't he catch fire when he steps inside? Wouldn't that be awesome if he did? It would make me rethink my non-believer status that's for sure.

chiver78 maybe he'll be struck by lightning Can you imagine the result of that? God would be put on trial for murder and be found guilty.

So how do you think Ivanka and Jared feel about her father’s singular embrace of “Christianity”?
Will he visit a temple, or is their Jewish faith just an inconvenience to be overlooked in “polite society”?

With a little luck, the whole family will be pariahs, shunned.

Please do give us your professional opinion I won't say much because then this thread will get moved to the religious board, but suffice to say that I don't find his expressions of faith very authentic. (Was that said diplomatically?)

The better questions is who in America finds this display meaningful? Who is cheering on Trump at this very moment?

swamp, I must have missed the baby Christian reference. Did he say something using that phrase? On a side note, I thought the response by the Episcopal Bishop at St. John's was spot on.

About those evangelicals...I was asked once by a true bible-thumping, speaking-in-tongues, evangelical Christian if Catholics are Christians.

Baby Christian is a reference that Trump didn't find Jesus until very recently. I would suggest he found him when he went looking for voters during the 2016 election campaign but that might be too cynical.

From the New Yorker's I know, the aren't exactly going to welcomed back with open arms. Not sure they have enough money to do so, and the Trump's do not seem to be in any hurry to spend it. Do not see a lot of charities advertising the big donation from Jared and Ivanka. But who knows, maybe they will be able to

from the link - except young children who fell victim to pedophile priests. and with that, I'm going to see myself out. I will have nothing else of value to add here.

The Christians here will likely be all excited and approve of that. They want their guns and bibles, crazy.

About those evangelicals...I was asked once by a true bible-thumping, speaking-in-tongues, evangelical Christian if Catholics are Christians. Happened to a co-worker of mine when she first moved to Memphis. She was at her boss's annual Christmas party. The boss's wife having just been introduced to my friend asked her which church in Memphis she joined. My friend named a Roman Catholic church in town. The boss's wife replied (boss and wife are Southern Baptists) "Oh. You're not a Christian."

About those evangelicals...I was asked once by a true bible-thumping, speaking-in-tongues, evangelical Christian if Catholics are Christians. An immediate family member (raised Catholic, attended Catholic schools through college) married an evangelical Christian. We Catholic family members are definitely “less than”, “unwashed”, not yet “saved”, etc. Don’t get me started, LOL...🙄

Welp, with the attitudes that I see from evangelicals, I no longer consider them Christian, so we're even.
