167.3 this morning. I most likely didn't take in enough calories between going to a wake and funeral for my SIL's father and losing power for 18 hours over the weekend. As of now I am not feeling well either so we will see how this next week goes.

177 this AM. I wasn't expecting to lose weight this week, but I'll take it. Maybe going to the gym 4-5 times a week is starting to pay off.

234.5 <- Officially my highest weight ever. Ugh!!! Time to whip myself into shape!! Meal planning! Drink water! No candy or junk food! (At least not every freaking day!) Workout!!!!! I actually love the rebounder and I think it is doing me good, but I've been eating so crappy that I think I am canceling out any of the benefit. This week's goal: 3 pounds
I actually got really pissed at myself this morning when I did my measurements and wrote it down. Enough with the excuses. I had Chinese food last night (uh yeah, probably didn't help the weigh in this morning, but if it helps get me in gear, well then so be it), and my fortune said "Your destiny is in your actions. You become what you do." I thought it was very appropriate. LOL
I've been too easy on my budget, and I'm putting that back in check. And lookout on the declutter and organize website, cuz here I come. Project "Get My Shit (financial, physical, house, everything!) in Order!" is in full gear!!

I weighed in today, and it looks like I'm down a total of four pounds, weighed in at 131 !! I went shopping with a friend last week, and bought a pair of pants for the simple reason that they were a size 4 and I could zip them up! (ok, ok, it was NY&Company, and their stuff runs a little big, but they were only $20, so I let the vanity sizing win !)

Turbo- Try not to be too hard on yourself about your weight. The important thing is that you recognize that you need to lose, and you are making changes. Karma to you for doing your workouts with your new rebounder!
As far as eating goes, I find that if I keep healthy, easy to make foods on hand, then I'm less likely to eat out. Maybe you could try that?

Turbo- I wanted to add that you shouldn't be discouraged that your scale hasn't moved in the right direction yet. It can take a few weeks for your body to start burning the calories efficiently, but when it does start- look out! You'll wake up on day and realize your pants are falling off! It just seems to happen overnight, then the weight starts melting off. Hang in there, it will happen!

Down 2¾ pounds from last week.
I finally started throwing things away from my closet. I stopped working 12 years ago. I haven't worn any of the suits since then. Now that they're getting loose on me, they're easier to throw away!
I just tried on my warm winter coat which I bought years ago but rarely wore because it was always a bit too tight. Not a problem now! I has some lighter weight jackets which I wore all winter merely because they fit me, not because they were all that warm. Now I can be toasty!

176.5 this morning.
And I need to start eating veggies instead of carbs. I've been pigging out on carbs all week and haven't so much as looked at a veggie since the corn on Sunday. And the veggies on the pizza don't count...
So that's the short term goal. Get a proper veggie in me and the kids 5 out of 7 nights. Even if it means I have to eat God awful broccoli (DS loves it)

Beth- What is it with broccoli and boys? Both DH & DS love it, and I can't stand it. I'll eat it raw, but not cooked, which is the only way they will eat it.

I'll eat it deep friend w/ sweet sour sauce. And I mistyped. It's DD who loves the stuff. DS doesn't see it eaten enough at home so he's currently trying a bite then pushing it off his plate. But DH loves it too. Sadly, he can't eat it right now due to diet.

Still holding at 147. I started logging my calories again. I forgot now that I have the smartphone I can do it right away. I eat WAY too much. My choices are not as good as I think they are either. Not working my part time much this month so I can study. Hoping to add some exercise to the mix besides my 2x a week yoga class.
Congrats to everyone who has lost! I actually just bought a pair of pants too. Most of my dress pants just hang on me now. They were a pair I bought a couple of months ago and then returned because they were stupidly expensive. Happened to be returning something else yesterday and checked the clearance rack. There they were, 60% off. Amazing how good you feel when your clothes fit properly!

re: broccoli, with or without cheese personally, I love broccoli. it and eggplant were my "fillers" when I was a strict vegetarian back in college. maybe one of these will appeal to someone...? with cheese - Green Giant frozen broc/cheese is 60 calories per serving. one of my favorite lazy dinners is to bake a russet potato (w/a little salt and a drizzle of canola oil, takes about an hour) and a nuked box over the cooked tater. yum! without cheese - my fail safe "oh shit, company!" meal is chicken with broccoli, tomato and sometimes mushroom over curly pasta in a light chicken broth/parm cheese "sauce". saute everything but the pasta while the pasta boils, and toss together with parm cheese. maybe toss in extra cheese until you get used to the broccoli?

I love cooked broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, and cabbage. Beets too. Mom made them all when I was growing up. I used to put lots of butter on them. Of course, when I was a kid, I ran off that butter. Now I still eat them, only with a dab of butter. The only problem is that the aroma hangs around the house. I do like the single serve broccoli with cheese and cauliflower with cheese; I eat as little of the cheese as possible.
Now green beans... if I never ate another green bean, I would be perfectly fine with that.

I like my broccoli with lemon juice and a little bit of salt. I don't even miss the butter.
Try green beans blanched and then sauteed in olive oil. Finish with lemon juice. I stole that from Buca de Beppo. Sometimes I throw on some grated Parm.

Well, the good news is that I'm down 2.5 pounds from last Friday, when I did a quick unauthorized weight check (I can only check once a week or I go bonkers with the weight yoyo). However, I'm still at 235 on Sunday. My foot will hopefully be better this week so I can start exercising again - having given the Halloween candy away should help too!

Well, I haven't been super diligent with my eating but I have at least managed not to gain any weight. I'm holding steady for now so that's at least something. I'm hoping to get back on track this week and start dropping some more weight.

Has anyone heard of this site? www dot healthywage dot com? You put up your money and if you lose the weight in a certain amount of time, they pay you money? They have different challenges - one is a 10% challenge. If you lose 10% of your body weight in 6 months, they pay you $200 - you have to pay $100 up front... Just wondered if anyone had heard of it...

I had to be at work to early this AM so I didn't weigh. I'll get on the scale tomorrow.
No Acemom- I haven't heard of it. Not bad, I'm guessing most people don't make it so they can afford to double your money if you do. Darn I wish I would have known about it, I have lost 10% of my weight in 3 months.

Although I have wanted to just throw in the towel a few times I am sticking to it. I have really become aware of the amount of water I am drinking so hopefully the increased water will help. Can't believe Thanksgiving is 2 weeks from tomorrow. That will officially begin a month of temptations especially when I bake as that is how I give presents to my co-workers.
