If trapping is not an option, then you need to remove their food source. I think someone else already posted to put down grub killer on the lawn. This will be somewhat effective at removing the food source and maybe the moles will move elsewhere.

I think it is the pelleted poison that contains zinc phosphide. It comes in a one pound bottle for about $8 to $10. Shop for it at your farm store, farmers elevator or garden store. To get anything stronger than this you may need a state issued permit.
It is the only thing I found that works. Some people may think this method is reckless toward other animals, but I used this product on my 2 acres for years and never found any unintended dead or injured animals due to the poison. Our cat was 14 when we sold the property, so it didn't affect him.
The farm girl in me just kills rats with a shovel, or poison, or coca cola. Vermin can ruin your property. Living most of my life in the country, I have put up with more rodents than most people.
Stronger poisons can sometimes be obtained on the internet, bypassing the state permitting process. Not that I have done this, but I know people who have.

Not that I have done this, but I know people who have. Predator birds eat poisoned rodents and then fly away. They're not going to stay on your two acres.
