He keeps restricting 1st amendment rights to free speech. He keeps ignoring congressional oversight... he really is anti-Republic.

Well the house should really be looking into Clinton's emails again instead of picking on Trump. She is the real criminal here people.

yes, he discovered a little known provision in the constutition. The executive shall have no oversight of the legislative branch, unless they are a bunch of haters, then it's OK.

How can Trump prevent anyone from testifying before any Congressional committee?

Anyone else picture this in their heads any time Trump goes off about executive privilege?

It's just a way for Trump to blame Democrats. He doesn't want to work with them - because they are out to get him. I'm sure this is some part of his re-election campaign.

Nah, he knows he can't control what he says, and it is not going to look good for him when they ask the questions they are going to ask. There won't be any softballs from the democrats. They'll ask if they really think 200k will die now. Just think of the tweets after that. Might have a stroke when he sees the news clips if he is testifying at the House

"I alone can fix it." Now he says he's going to disband the task force. Might as well; except for Fauci and Birx they're just a bunch of yes-men/women. Jared Kushner et al. Birx is apparently scared of trump.
Can trump even (legally) allow someone to testify before the Senate while forbidding testimony before the House? Rhetorical question. He's prez. He can do whatever he wants to do.

I honestly can't figure out how the Republicans aren't scared as shit for the next Democrat to take full advantage of the giant whopping holes they've punched through everything.

I honestly can't figure out how the Republicans aren't scared as shit for the next Democrat to take full advantage of the giant whopping holes they've punched through everything. Because they know it won't happen. Republicans seem to have this weird double standard immunity I have just never been able to figure out. If the Dems tried to pull even half this shit it would be Armageddon. And or they know they have shit so rigged, it's deeply unlikely to happen.

I am thinking they are going to stop reporting cases/hospitalizations and deaths, and pretend everything is fine.

I honestly can't figure out how the Republicans aren't scared as shit for the next Democrat to take full advantage of the giant whopping holes they've punched through everything. I know this is practically impossible, but imagine what would happen if the house, senate and potus all went Dem? And the dems ran with the ‘executive privilege ‘ bullshit like Trump has? First thing that would happen- the deficit would start to matter again, as would the notion of ‘checks and balances’.

I just had a scary thought- what if trump loses in 2020 and decides to run for re-election in 2024?
Hopefully the GOP would be able to squash that like a bug. Then - oh the tweet whining.

If he isn't re-elected in 2020, I don't see him behaving in a way that would increase his popularity enough to make a 2024 run successful. However if the GOP primary voters wanted to give it a go, more power to them. I don't plan on paying attention to the tweets of private citizen Trump.

And quite likely in prison or broke. He really needs another term to avoid the potential lawsuits.
