I wouldn't be so sure. His approval rating is 49% overall, 98% with Republicans and 47% with independents. The Republican party is doing okay. Don't get lulled with your confirmation bias 98% of people who self identify as Republican approve of the job he is doing. But the number of people who self identify as Republican has shrunk under Trump. Latest Gallop poll shows 27% of the country call themselves Republican, 31% democrat, and 39% independent. So really Trump needs to try to appeal to ALL the GOPers, plus at least 50% of the independents, since we can assume there will be almost no Dems voting for him. Plus there is the subtle difference between someone who approves of Trump and someone willing to vote for him - even someone who likes what he's accomplished may not like the way he accomplished it, and may opt to not vote or vote for a third party candidate than vote for the chaos candidate again. Then throw in young voters who may be motivated to vote against him, and the Bernie voters who realized it was a mistake to vote for Trump in 2016 (and who may not vote for Biden, but who might vote 3rd party - or not vote). Trump really can't afford to lose any votes. He needs to be currying the favor of the Lincoln GOPers, not calling them losers. I hope you are right. He has proven he doesn't need a majority of Americans or even a majority of voting Americans to believe in him to get elected. All you need is people to hate the other guy more. He is off to a good start if 150M Americans already think he is doing an okay job.

I find it ironic that the organization called The Lincoln Project is running negative trump ads to get him out of office. Running in all the swing states and ran one on faux news when they figured trump would be watching Hannity

Example 1 - the Confederate flag.....

I'd guess most of the country and much of the world would be happy if Trump were treated the same as Lincoln. Bullet in the head, wasn't it?
