here is another perspective. This was posted on FB by a dear friend of mine:
My heart is both sad and bursting with love and pride today - today should have been my beautiful niece/Goddaughter’s wedding day - the day we all dreamed of for her 👰 but instead she is working a 14 hour shift in the ICU at a South Side Chicago hospital - she tends to COVID 19 patients - takes care of them, watches some lose their battle and is mentally and physically challenged every day 😞

Likely not, but it was worth a shot!

They've been conditioned to ignore all reason or empathic feelings, and follow the deranged leader.

There are a lot of variations of brain washing. Propaganda is one and following the mob. I don't want the thugs to know what is done in music and videos.

And Covid19 isn't spreading as bad as they thought - it's been 8 weeks and hardly anyone is sick (they don't know anyone who's had it... so how common can it be?) They think it is not that bad and that it is being blown out of proportion to hurt trump There. I fixed it. I'd really like to hear on the news or FB or other media from people who HAVE had family members very sick (as in sick for the 2 weeks at home OR having been hospitalized) or had family/friends die saying that this isn't that bad and it's being blown out of proportion and that Trump is doing a great job. I want to hear from someone who's been very sick (and their family) that it wasn't all that bad and that it was just like getting the flu and that other people shouldn't be afraid of getting Covid19. That's what I'd like to hear about. Anybody got links to those kinds of uplifting comforting personal testimonials?

At one point last month I did read about some group of clueless Australians who went to a destination wedding somewhere in the South Pacific. Many of them ended up with COVID-19 but agreed it was an awesome party and one said of COVID-19 "I've had hangovers that were worse". Of course, many of us thought we were indestructible at that age. Some of us just got lucky and survived.

There is that 103 year old lady in China that survived. Hope someone is studying her DNA.

Man, wife, his parents and sister all got it. Despite the fact man recovered from it a month ago, he is still having difficulty breathing. Didn’t say how bad his parents o4 sister were, but they showed his wife being released from the hospital after being on a ventilator for 42 days. The whole family got it (they all lived under the same roof) and all had varying illness. Anywhere from mild to ventilator. The guy that had it was afraid his lungs are permanently injured, as are his wife’s because both were so sick.

Chris continued on air and it was hard to watch his recovery. Brook just returned this week. I saw her on Monday describing it after over 3 weeks.

CNN is fake news as any good brain washed trumpie knows and Cuomo was just trying to make us all locked in and make the repubs look bad.

41 year old Broadway star Nick Cordero had his leg amputated and his lungs now show the damage of a life-long smoker according to his wife. Somehow I don't see him performing on Broadway again. But it's fake news of course.
Our county judge issued a new stay-at-home order so I'm sure about 100 new lawsuits will be filed Monday morning.
Our neighborhood monster says on Twitter that the virus is real, but policy should be made by elected politicians and not scientists who don't understand business.

I think we've bred empathy out of the human race and replaced it with selfishness. This will cause many people to die unnecessarily. People don't care what's on TV. If it isn't their own relative dying they just really don't care enough to modify their own behavior.

There are bad things coming to people because of this stay at home order too. It's not just not being able to go to the bars and restaurants.

But lumping everyone upset about the stay at home order in with the ones holding up "I need a haircut" signs as being uncaring an unempathetic isn't fair either. Yet, how many times do we see that happen. We seem to want to make things black and white and not see the nuance in any situation. Just see what comes out of Washington, and especially this White House. It is all black and white thinking. This is a very difficult situation we find ourselves in, with no simple answer, and significant risks if we make a misstep. There will be significant harm done to millions of people. Not recognizing that, on either side, is wrong. But the protesters holding simple signs up, congregating in big crowds, not wearing masks, and bringing weapons into the statehouse do there position no favors. They reduce their arguments to money is more important to lives. Our federal government could do more for individuals hurt by this but the won’t. Graham just said they won’t be extending enhanced unemployment benefits when these run out. Let’s have a real discussion. How many lives will be lost if the lockdown ends vs the economic benefit? That is what the argument boils down to in a nutshell. I do not have the answer, but that is what we are going to have to decide. Seeing the havoc that this virus has wrought, I have little patience for people acting selfishly right now

It is a very hard reality and I don't know what's right. I'm an auditor, I can do my job 100% from home. On the other hand you have people who can't work from home and they are being ruined financially. And many of these people are in jobs we need filled in normal times.
I know life's not fair at all but to have your life ruined by this shutdown I can see why support is growing thin. They don't care about catching a virus when they can't put food on the table to feed their family or pay the mortgage.

Yet the family of that guy who posted on Facebook that this was all a hoax and then died of it seems to have been devastated. This is a disaster. The Federal government should be doing everything it can to ameliorate this so people aren’t forced to work in a dangerous environment. That requires caring about more than corporations and getting re-elected, we would be having a different conversation. The medical system in nyc was on the brink of collapse. What do you(not you specifically) think happens to the economy if we have a repeat of what just happened?

It would require paying people to stay home and the guy in charge is all about avoiding that. It's perfectly fine to give mega tax breaks to the 1% and corporations but not to give money to people to survive and stay safe. A forgivable loan to a huge corporation is okay but people are welfare sucking scum who don't deserve any help according to this guy. I fully believe some of these states are re-opening to people off the unemployment rolls. They don't care if people have to put themselves in danger to put food on the table and if they die they aren't going to care either. Short of fixing that I don't know how you do it.

'For everyone who complains about the stay at home order,', ...some find a way to amuse themselves and their neighbors. From Enfield, England.
