I thought I said "any business"- in other words, case by case.
how is that not a boycott?
I will boycott Ruth Chris's due to the caper they pulled...never, ever eat there again. I won't boycott my beautician, I just won't go until it is safer for all concerned...and I'll still take precautions then. So not boycotting, just delaying partaking of that service. I am still not seeing the distinction, but I am willing to admit that might be my problem.

In this case, the way that "consumers" can and will protect themselves is to not consume any of a given service from any source. An organized boycott of a specific business only has meaning if those who are boycotting business "X" patronize business "Y" instead. It does make sense to work to help people stay strong against the temptation to use services opened up too early. But that is not a boycott. I thought I said "any business"- in other words, case by case.
how is that not a boycott?
Yes, you are proposing organizing a case by case boycott of the businesses which are opening. I see simply a need for people to stay home, no organizing necessary.

He just threw Georgia Gov'n Kemp under the bus by saying he told him it was "too soon" to open up the businesses that are in GA's phase 1.

Only reason trump did it was so he can have plausible deniability when our death count starts to skyrocket. He's telling states to open, but not yet, but he's gonna sue Democrat gov'ners for not opening up right now.
There's nothing logical or sensible going on at all in the Republican party from top to bottom.

Yep after encouraging that sort of thing. I sat here and listened to him throwing him under the bus! It would be expected.
That's why the repubs don't want him up there talking that much. He digs a hole for himself everytime, idiot.

I listened to Anderson Cooper and the Las Vegas mayor, that was a shocker, damn these people get up there and say the dumbest things.
Had enough, turned over to dish scapes watching birds, flowers, greenery on an island, now flipped to Australia and watching it. Very soothing and cute.

Do you mean is this fucking up his golf grifting scam with overcharging for golf carts, double charging for rooms at his resorts for his security detail, and not feeding his ‘cheats at golf’ pathology while no one from the right that bitched about Obama’s golf has said word one? YES

I still think he has dementia or alzheimers. And he certainly does not know truth from fiction. Dangerous, dangerous "qualities" to have in a "leader" and I say that tongue in cheek. As he is not a leader.
What worries me if he gets us into a conflict, he is losing big time right now and he would see that as a way to bring up his numbers. Problem is he would likely interfere and hand us over to Russia or china without firing a shot. Noone would know what orders to listen too. If he does that we are fu***d.
A mighty nation lost by a twit on a tweet and it could happen. I'm worried, November can't come soon enough. Then if he loses, it will be hell to pay from Nov to January. God help us. And if he doesn't will be even worse.

Yesterday he thought it was too soon, but on Tuesday he and Pence talked with the governor and gave him a big thumbs up, praise, support for opening up tomorrow. Oy.

Pretty sure that is the end goal. UE has never been about actually helping people. It's another revenue stream for the states. If people are applying and actually getting it then that is not money that can be laundered elsewhere.

Anderson was like in disbelief, he kept asking her. I'm sure he was really going for it, it was totally unbelievable.

Several local shop owners have said they are not opening any time soon cause they can't get the PPE to protect their employees or customers. Going to be interesting to see what actually happens here tomorrow.
AND to top things off in my county, we were hit by a tornado today. Did some damage at the local hospital that was supposed to restart opening for several different types of procedures….not sure what will happen now. Lots of trees down, our power was out for 5 hrs., several houses destroyed...haven't heard of any deaths in our county...but possible. My DH saw the tornado, but he didn't know what he was seeing...it was about 5-6 mi. to our west....so we had super strong winds here at our house.
