bitch about our lockdown! Yes it sucks that it is until 5/26 (could be lifted earlier). Blaming our Dem Gov after he made the decision based on the WH guidance issued Thurs. Our Gov, who postponed the elections, then the Repubs demanded they happen last week. And Repubs took a month to remove the 1 week wait period for unemployment so people could receive the Fed $600/week.
I watched my local news this morning and now we have new out breaks, and our numbers continue to increase in regards to cases, without adequate testing. I don't think we have hit our peak.
This disease is not Dem/Repub. YES I want our economy to reopen. Yes I want to go back to work!
I want to tell them- go ahead fuckers, open this shit up! Then when this disease really explodes in 2 months and we are locked down for 6 months, or your relatives die, go fuck yourselves!!
Sorry, I hope this isn't in violation of Coc.

That's o.k. I sometimes view those protesters as whiny toddlers who didn't get a nap. Life not going your way? Well, suck it up, Buttercup, because the rest of us aren't thrilled with lockdowns either, but we at least understand the long-term benefits. I'd rather be locked down for a month or two now, rather than 6 months to a year later.
I understand why our "fearless leader" loves the uneducated. They're the first to go ballistic when things don't go their way. In other words, they're a lot like him.

I know. Just wait until they completely gut k-12 public education to balance the budget on top of all of it. And we should start opening up after cases decrease for 7 days, because people are just looking too shaggy for Vos's tastes. And school. The kids should absolutely be back in school. Who gives a shit if they eat a foot a part from each other. Haircuts and school! That's what we need to feel normal again.

And now we get Steven Moore, a conservative Trump economic advisor, comparing the protesters to Rosa Parks! WTF! While Confederate and Nazi flags fly he is suggesting we need more civil disobedience.

I think beauty salons could re-open if they have protocols to keep in use stations at least 6 feet apart and come up with rules for sanitizing. Schools? I think that's going to be hard. Everything is generally set up for kids to be close together. And with asthma being higher in kids now then when I was school age, there is a population that will be more vulnerable to the virus than their classmates. I think opening up the schools is great if your goal is to spread the virus through the US more quickly, otherwise I believe far more thought should go into this.

No problem here in Indiana, they just ignore it.
We hit over 10000 cases now which puts us in one of the top groups, over 500 dead, seems like about 50 a day are dying in our little state. Screw it all fools, keep running around. I'm surprised they haven't sent kids back to school here. OH MY GOD, no football, no...…………………………………... basketball, no baseball, I'm sure they just can't survive without that. Dullards.

Remember, the Florida governor is a total suck-up to Trump. It wouldn't surprise me if he didn't put some pressure on the mayors of ocean communities. I mean, they're mostly Republican, but not all are stupid.

Not surprised. Apparently the Trump team isn't too worried that too many of their supporters will die off and be unable to vote. Odds are they are both emotional impulsive thinkers. They aren't thinking about how a badly planned re-opening of the economy could cause cascading failures and shortages no longer just limited to healthcare and TP. We are starting to learn how risky parts of our food supply are because of Smithfield. There's nothing brave about wanting things to go back to normal because you are suffering.

Our first 2 cases both survived, and they were older. Frustrating how people with no medical training make erroneous assumptions in both directions

So far I think it's just the Northeast beaches. Though I saw someone I know went to new smyrna beach the other day saying it's ok to walk or swim at the beach as long as you don't stop so who knows.

I think its more like the lady they talked with this morning. She said I don't get UE, I'm running out of money and I have to go back to work. I'm going to die this way or die the other. She didn't say she had gotten anything yet.
trump said 80 million checks have been sent out, I read 80 million are due to be sent out. I'm not sure if people have gotten checks, I have seen several on facebook that have gotten the direct deposit.
Honestly I think they are still trying to reprogram to get trumps signature on them. They claim it hasn't held them up. Then I read something else how the programers are working from home and furiously trying to implement it in the system then run it to make sure there are no glitches. Then I read there were a few glitches. That's what vanity and political posturing causes I guess.

If you don't want to hear it then simply ignore the naysayers. Locally there was a group the other day that protested the lock down. This group represented about 0.0015% of the cities population and 0.00009% of the counties population. I've found multiple articles on on the protest with more replies than there were people in attendance and while some of those people replying may agree they again represent a miniscule portion of the general population as the vast majority are calling people out for being idiots and gathering. In a group of a certain size you'll never get everyone to agree on certain things but at least for the most part where I'm at the vast majority are taking the lock down seriously.

Conservatives really do think that.....eh, 2-3%, no biggie, right? Dr. Mehmet Oz speaking to Sean Hannity of Fox News on Tuesday about how getting students back into schools could help America get its “mojo back.” ‘I tell you, schools are a very appetizing opportunity. I just saw a nice piece in The Lancet arguing the opening of schools may only cost us 2 to 3 percent, in terms of total mortality.’ www.marketwatch.com/story/dr-oz-slammed-for-suggesting-it-may-only-cost-us-2-to-3-of-american-lives-to-reopen-schools-2020-04-16?mod=autos

My neighbors got their direct deposits. H. does not want the Fed to have our banking information. Well, it's on the check we paid for estimated tax.
Our 2019 taxes were extended.
So many people are hard up then their checks get deposited in the wrong account. A nightmare. My neighbor took her check in cash out of the bank so they cannot reverse the deposit.

1,000+ dumb ass fuckers stood shoulder to shoulder today in protest of the lock down. One lady had a sign that said she wanted to go to her church. Bitch if you believe the only time you can pray or be around God is in a church, you are not a Christian. You want our state to open up? DON'T PULL STUPID SHIT LIKE THIS!!! Protests are not going to cure this disease. Lock them all up for 14 days together!!! NO Drs.

I am so thankful for our governor. Was the more fortunate turn of events when Matt Bevins lost in November. His daily press conferences are dignified and informative. This was his response to the protestors who interrupted his briefing: "We do have some folks up in here in Kentucky today — and everybody should be able to express their opinion — that believe we should reopen Kentucky immediately, right now,” Beshear said about midway through his briefing. “Folks, that would kill people. That would absolutely kill people.” "My job isn't to make the popular decision, but the right decision," he continued, "and the decision that saves peoples' lives." www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/kentucky-governors-coronavirus-briefing-interrupted-by-protesters-chanting-we-want-to-work

I found it incredible Florida deemed the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) an essential business. Vince McMahon is the CEO of the WWE. He's also one trump's economic advisors during the virus crisis.

What is interesting is that conservatives got all worked up over Terry Schiavo, interfering in the decision to remove her feeding tube. It was important to save that life. But appparrently now we should sacrifice thousands of people who are going to die soon anyway for the sake of the economy. The party of like, yeah right

He's also one trump's economic advisors during the virus crisis. Pettigrew did. Orange county shut them down and said hell no. They then went crying to the governor and somehow convinced him they're essential. And shocker I saw an article that stated a worker tested positive after one of those shows.

Someone shared this of people on the beaches, among other photos. I think that beaches are good to open up. We need the next wave to get started sometime and what better group to ride it. There is almost zero exposure to anyone who doesn't volunteer to be exposed. Beaches aren't like restaurants and theaters which would force low paid workers to be exposed.
