One big problem GOP has, the man can't keep his mouth shut, plus able to take advice... From the other side..Dem side...this really is good news..IMHO. ========================================= "WASHINGTON — In his daily briefings on the coronavirus, President Donald Trump has brandished all the familiar tools in his rhetorical arsenal: belittling Democratic governors, demonizing the media, trading in innuendo and bulldozing over the guidance of experts. It’s the kind of performance the president relishes but one that has his advisers and Republican allies worried." ========================================= "Yet the publicity-obsessed president is unlikely to relinquish his grip on the evening sessions: Trump has told aides he relishes the free television time and boffo ratings that come with his appearances, administration officials say." ========================================= www.yahoo.com/news/trump-keeps-talking-republicans-dont-122811994.html

Trump is the same ignorant, nasty, petty, vindictive, worthless person he was a month ago and two months ago and three years ago. The people who didn't care then don't care now.

True, but I’d be willing to bet that a lot of people who were indifferent to politics three years ago are no longer indifferent

We definitely need to keep him talking. It is important for the country to hear the president.

The PTB in the GOP are concerned about his blabbering, and wish he would tone down his daily reality shows on TV. I don't see them abandoning him yet though. I think it unlikely they will, at least not until after the election (he is the presumptive GOP nominee) and even after the election not if he can keep bringing the clout of his base to bear in state GOP races, which he has been quite effective at.
Where the erosion in support is most interesting to me is with people who are moderate supporters and somewhat apolitical, especially in the key states, like MI, PA, FL, etc.

And it will take minimal erosion of support in just a few states to derail his reelection.

The GOP has already showed us they will pander to Trump no matter what.
If (and I really mean if) Trump loses, half the GOP will pretend they never supported him.

The GOP is Donald now, he isn’t in trouble with himself.
