If I had little choice but to take public transportation to my public facing job and come home to my family who all did the same, I probably would have a hard time thinking I would save myself by not seeing my sister, or best friend. Some people already have 10,000 interactions per day, why not 10,001?

As far as Kansas, we need to be clear on something. The Democratic Gov'n shut down church services. It was the Republican state attorney & GOP council that said it was unconstitutional & overturned her order.
There's 1 side that continues to override any common sense when we KNOW what the devastating effects are. Just like the Georgia Gov'n opening beaches. Stupid is as stupid does & stupid is going to kill their own voting base.

Florida won't shutter churches and stopped any county that was doing that from continuing.
Then he's going to be all pikachu shocked face when they all get sick and guy in the sky didn't save them.

Why is it that white conservatives (not all, mind you) seem to think that they know everything about how Hispanics think? Do you even have any Hispanics in your social circle? I'm Mexican and you're absolutely right that I don't support DT. However, I do support border control. I do not support a wall. I have quite a few people from Spain in my social circle. Does that count? I think they're considered European. I could be wrong though.

Considering Trump wanted to enforce the borders, I can assure you that the majority of the residents in the city I’m talking about are NOT trump supporters. My comment wasn’t about race or color of someone s skin being the cause of covid-19. My comment was about the people that are not following orders. Idiots of all races and political affiliations are ignoring the orders. This city is now 60% Hispanic and they also have a much higher % if illegals than they rest of the county. It just is what it is. And there is no way that they are trump supporters. They hate anything related to enforcing the border. Why is it that white conservatives (not all, mind you) seem to think that they know everything about how Hispanics think? Do you even have any Hispanics in your social circle? I'm Mexican and you're absolutely right that I don't support DT. However, I do support border control. I do not support a wall. And neither do the Hispanics in this town. Considering the amount of illegals in this city, I am going to guess that border security is not high on their list, either. That is just a guess and I have nothing to back it up. But if people in that city were for border control they wouldn't also be for illegals. You can't be for both. You either respect our laws or you don't.

I seriously doubt that you're going around asking them and that they're telling you. My guess is that you're assuming just like you admitted here that you guessed that they're against border control though you have nothing to back it up. Again, another white conservative claiming to know what the brown people think. You've just proved my point.

I think it’s perfectly fine to grant religious exclusions for gatherings provided those that want them can prove their deity exists and it’s need for the gatherings.

Lol...trust me, if you lived in my area you would know that there are a lot of illegals living in that city. The Mayor passed legislation to try to get the illegal population under control but got taken all the way to the supreme court. There are significant financial impacts that the city took because of the illegal invasion. You might say I'm guessing but I'm actually not. Hospitals got overwhelmed by illegals without insurance, schools are burderned with illegals who do not speak English, do not pay taxes but they have to educate anyway. You can say what you want but do a research and there is plenty out there to support that this is a city with a serious illegal issue. Crime is now through the roof, too, because with low-paying jobs comes increased poverty and increased poverty brings more crime. So yes, I can say without doubt that the number of illegals in that city far outnumber the illegals in my area. And considering the Mayor that tried to run the illegals out supported Trump...trust me, there is no love loss between that community and republicans/conservatives. So no, I'm not assuming anything when I say they are not conservatives or trump supporters. And I'm doubting illegals or those that support illegals want border security. But that is an assumption. Otherwise, they would just be hypocrits. The great thing is that I do not care if you believe me or not.

I think an exemption like that should also require a waiver of medical intervention for Covid-19. People want to be stupid then they can pray to their God to save them.

God said, "Come to me my children. Stand six inches apart from each other and hold hands in church so you can catch the coronavirus and you will be with Me soon."

There are tons of statistical studies that estimate the number of undocumented people live in states, cities, regions, etc. "Knowing" you have a lot of illegal immigrants is somewhat easy to prove (although Miss T has no obligation to tell you her exact location.) Now "knowing" if any individual is documented or not is a lot harder.

Otherwise, they would just be hypocrits. The great thing is that I do not care if you believe me or not. You can be illegal and still pay taxes. You can buy a home and cars and pay property taxes. You can can do just about anything a citizen can do. What you can't do is vote, so their affiliation doesn't matter because they can't do anything about it anyway. You can't recieve social services, so really they're putting into something that they'll never get anything out of. So really, you can assume that they're illegal. You can also assume that they are a burden, but you have no real way of knowing that. I feel like I keep saying the same things over and over again, but the conservatives fail to comprehend because they can't see past the nose on their faces. And BTW, whether you care about what I think is irrelevant. Just pointing out that you don't actually know what you think you do. Again.

So we should estimate that in KS and other states allowing religious services this weekend there will be a spike in cases in roughly 2 weeks. Have these states allowing this added funding and resources to cover that spike? Are religious affiliations contributing to the funding and resources in order for congregations to have medical care due to religious pig-headedness? Do religious affiliations have their own hospitals and medical personnel to care for their congregations in order to free up the care that the rest of the compliant population may need?

Kansas Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Governor "The Kansas Supreme Court ruled Saturday that a Republican-dominated legislative panel exceeded its authority when it tried to overturn the Democratic governor’s executive order banning religious and funeral services of more than 10 people during the coronavirus pandemic." Interestingly: "The Saturday hearing was the court’s first conducted completely via video conferencing."

But the dude that was arrested a short time ago in Baton Rouge is going to hold services again tomorrow...expecting 2000. He said real Christians aren't afraid to die & that God will shield them for diseases.

I really find life precious (while at the same time pretty meaningless) and I usually want everyone to be happy and healthy and able to so their own thing, but this year is testing me.

Am I the only one who watches these things and wonders why God isn't going all Old Testament? If there is anyone who deserves to be turned into a pillar of salt it's people like this dude.

No, I don't wonder that. Because there is no god. And that is why people are able to say all kinds of trash things "in his name." Also, why murderers are out there roaming around. Also, why kids die of cancer, etc. If there is a god, he is a total asshole.

Sorry Thyme but I have to disagree with this. God has given mankind the ability to get through this and come out better on the other side. As witnessed because mankind has survived through the millennia of time and many pandemics.
You step on an ant and that individual life has stopped. But the colony survives.
I know this discussion belongs on another thread but I couldn't let this go.
I believe in a God so powerful and immense that it's beyond my comprehension. So I live my life to the best of my ability and I'll know the answers after my death.
Right now I'm grateful for this life given to me ..........

We did church on the internet today. It's different, but you can still connect with church friends. That's what Facebook is for...
And, I do believe God allows you to suffer your own consequences if you knowingly do something stupid, like attend a large gathering when a highly contagious virus is going around. God isn't required to protect the stupid. You make your own choices, and live or die by them. Literally. (Kinda like driving drunk. You know that rarely ends well.)
