At his house and he is very not good. three oxygen things, one for the living room with 25 and 50 ft tubes, a back up for power outages and a portable. When I got here he apologized for not helping carry in stuff. He removed oxygen to shower and needed to get some before doing anything, still didn't shower. Later after shower he looked like he was dizzy and sat a to rest a long time. After going to bed he saw a porch light was left on and said he needed to get up and turn it off and seemed grateful when I offered. Seems like everything will be hard for him. He is still saying I don't need to wait on him but then he likes when I do. I might stay for months. He was referred to radiologist so I will go with and see what they want to do. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Update, he finished Radiation and started Chemo quit oxygen and coughing so I came home two weeks ago his hair is falling out, which he says means it is working.
Now he has a fever and coughing so got Corvid test today. They said it would be Thursday before they get results. He said he has a doctor appointment Tuesday and chemo Wednesday so Thursday doesn't work for him. He is very tired took 3 hour nap, talked to me and going for another nap. He knows not to breath on people, always wears a mask but won't go to doctors if he is positive or Corvid.

If he got chemo and has a fever, he needs to see a doctor and have a blood test to see what his wbc is, if he had not done so. This could be a medical emergency if he is neutropenic

He called his oncologist and they said see a doctor or urgent care or emergency room so his regular doctor did the test or sent him for it. I don't know what wbc is, is that white blood cells? His last chemo was weeks ago but his oncologist should have thought of that, he will call him Monday about the Tuesday appointment. He slept all day today, made a steak ate a couple bites and put it out for the raccoons. He is losing weight his jeans loose so wearing his smaller size he was going to donate.
I am not visiting him unless I am sure I won't catch anything even if he has to move to a hospital.

The day before immunotherapy/chemo, they typically do a blood draw which includes WBC. However, based on this definition of Neutropenia www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/neutropenia-causes-symptoms-treatment#1it could be ordinary gut bacteria taking advantage of his weakened immune system.

I know when Mom was doing her chemo, they were very concerned that she was losing weight. Can he drink all right? If so, he might want to drink a couple of protein shakes every day. Hoping things go better for you both.

He can't go shopping while sick and doesn't own any shakes. I told him to drink hot drinks like bullion or tea. He was over 200 before and last time was 194 so since he is short he can get to 150 and not be too thin. I guess I could order shakes and amazon leave them on the porch. Farm country so no grocery delivery. Thanks everyone for the good thoughts.
