I'm still getting a few each day.
Why? Getting on a plane right now is a very bad idea. And even if I did, what would I do when I got there? Sit in a hotel and order take out?

I can Fly Standby for free for at least the rest of the year. I am not planning to go anywhere for at lest a few months. Based on what I have heard about how many people are on some of those planes, if you really need to go somewhere, I don't think it would be too risky.
But, I do know Delta is allowing Medical Personnel who are volunteering to work in hard hit areas to fly for free. I guess they could have contracted Covid-19 in the course of their work and be asymptomatic.

Las Vegas is running ads on tv stating that it knows people's health is a priority and that Las Vegas will be there when things are calm. (Sort of like Motel 6's "we'll leave the light on for you.")

I'm still receiving the emails. I have no plans to get on a plan in the foreseeable future.

Oh, yeah, but mostly they want my money. Generous bonus miles if you buy miles right now, free cancellation/rebooking if you book now, etc. Yet, most of the majors have announced cutbacks in in-flight service, which was pretty pitiful already- no drinks or anything else on flights under 4.5 hours. I understand the health considerations but how convenient that it also saves them $$. And right now I'm fighting with Delta- they cancelled my flight home from La Paz, Bolivia via Quito, Ecudaor and on to the US when Ecuador closed its borders. They want to give me an e-credit. Ummm, no. DOT requires them to give refunds on flights they cancel. I just sent them that response today after I got their e-mail about the e-credit. In the meantime, of course, I get to pay real money for the flights I actually DID take home. I do have an e-credit from AA for a flight I was supposed to take with my granddaughters to Chicago 5/7. No change fees. Since it was non-cancellable and I was the one who cancelled it I was grateful for that. That trip will wait till their parents and I agree that the Chicago Children's Museum (currently closed) with its wonderful hand-on exhibits, is safe to visit. It may be awhile.

No. I don't get air travel e-mails. Neither do I. Whenever I do stuff online, I am careful to uncheck boxes that allow whomever to spam you with specials and promotions.

I get a few, and I'd love to take advantage. Basically I could fly round trip to my brother right now for $90 on southwest. I might book for the end of june since I have a credit anyway.

Yes and a long convoluted email about extending premier levels for maybe another 2 years? Almost begging to stay loyal to Zunited Actually, that's good news for me. I've had Gold status on Hilton for years- first through travel when I was working and later through the credit card, which I ditched years ago. No idea why it continued after that. Earlier this year I got a note that I'd drop down to Silver on 4/1. Gold actually has some perks for me- extra points, free breakfast in the Hilton-branded properties where it's usually charged separately, and on extremely rare occasions, Executive Lounge Access. I'm happy to have it for 2 more years. SOMEDAY I'll be able to take my granddaughters to Chicago- cancelled the trip scheduled for May- and the older one, who's been there before, doesn't want to stay anywhere but the Hilton O'Hare with the view of the airport. Her younger sister will be joining us, so there's 3 breakfasts for 2 mornings that I don't have to pay for. Unless, that is, they get rid of buffet breakfasts.

We get about 4 new catalogs from Viking each week talking about either ocean or river cruises.
Was on a river cruise about a year ago and enjoyed it. Fun and learned a lot. ............ but not this year, and definitely NOT an ocean cruise.
The one thing that has not let up is every day something from publishers clearing house, and some days we get 2. I don't even bring them into the house, straight to the recycle bucket.
What a waste of money and energy on their side. Hopefully they will run out of funds soon and STOP

Today's email was from OneTravel to go round trip Montreal to New Orleans for $184.
Ordinarily I'd jump on that one..............
