While I had long hair in college (didn't we all in the early 70s?), it's been short for decades. So... time to let it grow a bit longer? What are the men planning on doing? And women... how many of you have your hair colored?

I color my own so if I want I can either toss a box in when grocery shopping or get it online.
Cutting is a little more complicated. I have a shaved underside which I think we can do with DHs shears.
The cut I have would lend itself to some choppiness and/or unevenness but I could just as easily destroy it.
IDK. Wish I still had my head scarves from the 90s.
I might have to get some headbands and call it a day.
Gwen is growing her hair so no problems there. The blue may fade but I can get more from Ulta.com more than likely.
Abby can grow hers out.
DH shaves his head and we've been doing that at home for awhile now.

I have been wondering this. DD and I have easy hair, not really any style to grow out. Worst case scenario, we have to do a trim of the ends. Dh is not so lucky. He has been wearing hats.

Here, great clips and AZ hair co. are open for limited hours. A lot of people I know cut their own hair or cut someone else's hair. They color their own hair.

My wife practiced on our son with clippers that are more like a beard trimmer and dull scissors and it turned out ok. I figure I will definitely need a cut in the next 30 days so I trust her and I can easily wear a hat when I go out if needed.

I'm just letting it grow. I have it up in a bun most of the time anyways.
I am debating buying some overtone finally to see how the for brown hair works.

Mine is short, but will grow out OK. DH can trim my bangs. But I'm going to find out just how much grey is there in a couple of months.

I’ve declared a haircut and shaving moratorium until the shelter in place order is over.
If it goes on long enough, I’ll end up one of those old guys with a ponytail. Maybe I’ll add an earring, just to annoy the MIL.

I have never colored and barely have grey. I am at about a year and a half since I had a cut. I had it short and was fed up with continually getting crappy cuts so had decided to grow it out. DH has been doing his own for years.

I only cut mine a few times a year anyway, so I'm fine. I have a couple of boxes of haircolor, too, but I'm growing it out to see how much gray I actually have, and to give my hair a break from the color.
My kids luckily got haircuts right before this all went down, so they should be good for a few more weeks, at least. My DH likes to keep his really short, so it was bothering him. Just yesterday, he took his clippers to the sides a bit-- mostly his sideburns, and trimmed the top a tiny bit with scissors. It looks fine to me. I'm expecting to have to help all my boys trim their hair as this drags on.

I was due for a haircut and color at the end of March, but it was cancelled due to all non-essential businesses being shut down in PA.
I'm not really worried about it. My hair is long and my grays aren't that noticeable.
I cut my DH's hair, so he's fine, and my kids have never had haircuts. I was thinking of getting them trims this spring but not now. Haircuts will wait until they are at least 4 and 6.

DS decided to thumb his nose at convention when he started high school, and grew his hair out. It's long and curly, and I rather like it. Miss M still has no hair. The girls have long hair, all one length and I can trim ends. I have bangs that I trim myself. I've gotten exactly one haircut since Miss M was born, and that was last July. She's almost 2.5. So, not getting a hair cut right.now. clearly isn't bothering me.
I also have grey hair and I don't care, I'm not dying it for a whole host of reasons...
DH is the only one that's looking scraggly terribly, but whatever. I don't care.

I do have my priorities Oh and I have short naturally wavy/curly hair so I cut my own. Mistakes just get scrunched up with rest of curls.

I've never colored my hair.
I will trim my bangs and make a mess out of them. Otherwise I wait it out.
All hair salons are closed until at least April 30.

My hair is longer, so no cutting is OK. DH shaves his head. I haven't colored my hair in years. It's mostly grey now but I'm OK with that. I have that nice white grey rather than the yellowish one.

I just hope I go back to work a week after my hair cutter does. I don't color my hair, but it grows so fast.

I envy you the pretty gray hair. Heck if I was gray all over I would just go natural. But for some reason I have patches here and there. Would think at my age I would be solid gray.

I have been coloring my own hair since my late 20s. It is now mostly gray and I try to keep it close to my original brown color.
DH and I have both trimmed each other’s hair in the past. I have medium length, very thick and wavy hair. Since it is wavy it is a bit forgiving in that it does not need to be even. I normally get a cut with layers to thin it out and then cut my own bangs once or twice when they get too long and thick. Unfortunately I am at point where I really need a cut. May try to get DH or DD to give it a whack.
DH will be more of an issue. He keeps his pretty short and it really thinning out. If it gets long it looks bad, so he gets it cut often. Although I have cut it when he was younger and had more hair, I am afraid to try it now. There is so little hair that a small mistake would be really bad.
For anyone who try’s to cut hair, make sure you get a pair of hair cutting scissors. Makes a big difference. You can get at most stores in hair accessories aisle for $10-20.

I cut my own hair, have for the past 20+ years so nothing changes. However, I was planning on growing out my beard during the whole ordeal, but just couldn’t take it anymore so I just finished trimming everything up nice and already feel better. I don’t think the “hermit” look is for me.
I may loose the whole thing before I go back to the office and really surprise folks.

I'll just buy one of these sets and cut my own. In the summer months I like my head almost shaved anyway. I'll cut my hair outdoors so no clean up in the house.

My hair is a lost cause anyhow. I rarely get it cut...maybe once a year. It doesn't grow beyond shoulder length anymore and is the same amount of gray that it was 20 years ago. The kids? I don't know. Older son's doesn't look too bad yet. Carrot is kind of excited because his dad would have never let him grow his hair out. He says he's going for the Jason Mamoa look. I think he has a long ways to go in so many ways to attain that. Hopefully his dad doesn't just take a clippers to him.

I had a hair appointment on March 6, one week before my county shut down non-essential businesses. I am feeling pretty smart. I would be due back in May but if it goes longer I will be fine and won't look too unkempt. I don't color my hair but now that I'm home all the time I am really tempted to put in some temporary color, though my stylist and stylist friends would kill me.
Husband got a hair cut around the same time as I did but he goes much more frequently than I do. So long as he keeps up with his beard trimming then I can deal with longer hair. Maybe I'll start playing around with his pomades and style it out of boredom one day.
