Whenever he uses the word "unfair", I cringe.
Since when have any of his grifts, manipulations, strong-arm tactics, mass lies, or backdoor dealings been fair?

So you ARE accepting them. It doesn't matter what you do with the money. If you accept it, that makes you a socialist

Enough with the infighting and insults, people. Speak to the subject instead of about one another.

They are all special interest groups I was in the service in 1980. When I asked my shipmates why they supported Reagan for President, a vast majority responded, "He promises to raise our pay."

Do you really think republicans can win without social security recipients voting?

They are all special interest groups Anyone that doesn’t “have half their brain tied behind their back” or is addicted to the authoritarian state tv media FAUX News, where you will not hear about any of it, is aware that the Repo-Cons are the real vote riggers and fixers. From the hi-tech Jim Crow in Florida 2000, blatantly stealing the presidency, to its’ continuance as the Cross-Check program, to voter ID laws discriminatory towards poor and minorities, to the phony voting czar scheme with Kobach (giving rise to the idiotic mindset that the Demos were vote rigging and, subsequently, proven completely wrong) the Repo-Cons are earning their anti-American spurs. Why do they hate America so much? Ed?

No one should be allowed to vote except Steve in Duluth, MN.
There's a lot riding on this election, Steve. Don't eff it up.

We he is probably right...all the democrats do is try to rig shit for themselves hint the crap impeachment... personally i don't think anyone who draws a social security check, welfare check, or college student should not be allowed to vote. They are all special interest groups Please Ed, offer a cogent explanation as to why I shouldn’t be allowed to vote just because I get a SS check. I got my first paper route in 5th grade delivery once a week. Then I moved up to a once a week that required a $.15 collection. Then in 7th grade I went 7 days a week with collection required. I quit that halfway through freshman year so I could play HS baseball. Always full time summer jobs. Then College, then the workaday world until early retirement just before turning 60. So I worked for years, dutifully paid in, and now get a check. Please explain why I should lose my right to vote. TYIA Oh here is another one. Why shouldn’t someone getting a welfare check get to vote? You might be surprised by average welfare recipient statistics. But a mom that has stayed home to raise kids, and then gets brutally beaten by her husband and escapes, should be able to vote against the Repo-Cons that are dead set against deadbeat dad legislation for her ex that drinks up all the child support money in front of his brand new 60” LG Smart tv superglued to FOX. And college kids? Why not Ed. Please explain. And while you are at it please tell us why it is not Un-American to try to limit voting rights? Are you hoping to go back to the days of no women voting (sorry Kris), no African Americans? Must be a property owner? Are you a strict originalist? r]

If we are worried about special interest groups influencing elections, we should start by reversing Citizens United.

They are all special interest groups My DH was the CEO of an electric utility and paid the max into Social Security for over 10 years. I have worked to support myself since I was 12 years of age. My Social Security earnings record dates back to my teenage years. We hope to begin to draw in the next 2 to 5 years. We have worked to educate ourselves and earn a living and most certainly should be allowed to vote. Our two sons registered to vote when they got their driver's license. I encouraged them to understand the ballots and participate in the process. They went to college and paid with scholarships and student loans that began accruing interest immediately at a rate of 6.8%. Our sons also worked while going to school full time. These are exactly the kinds of people who need to vote. I have never received a welfare check so I cannot speak to that argument. I have however, known people needing financial support. Their right to vote is assured by the constitution. We are all individuals before we can be a "special interest group". It is dangerous to think only people whose opinions align with yours should be allowed to vote.

Claim the Demos are rigging voting when it’s really the Repos and then forget they are trying to hide that fact by oops! making the specious claims about who should no longer be allowed to vote. Such irony.
