A former volleyball player for the university I support took a job at Liberty just before this all started.  

I think she has drank the kool-aid.  On her instagram today, she posted some BS about what if the science is wrong and all we need is prayer.

Fine you go, you stay.  You aren't allowed to leave campus.  A campus can easily be a self contained unit, there is laundry in the dorms and a cafeteria where supplies can be dropped off.    You want to be stupid fine, but keep your stupidity away from the rest of us.

It's Liberty University, led by Jerry Falwell.  He believes what Trump says

One parent (who described himself as "as right-wing as they come" and was apparently an ardent supporter of Trump and his version of reality) emailed Falwell to object to keeping the school open.  He was actually fairly articulate in making his case and called the decision a "money grab."  The Falwell creature responded with a Trump-style attack rant and ended by calling the parent a "dummy."  So that ended about how one would have expected it to end.  None of those people are rational.

My guess is that Jerry Falwell Jr. probably has "commitments" elsewhere and won't be anywhere near campus.

Yeah.  I read about that.  I'm guessing the "vision" was the realization that if they closed the stores, they might have to forego that new yacht or private plane they were planning to buy.

I was in a small New England town on Monday. Everything is closed, restaurants are takeout only IF they are even open. Parking lots barren. Very few cars on the road. Highway rest stops closed indefinitely. Except freaking Hobby Lobby was open and the parking lot full. 🙄

I was looking for plastic food for a display. Everything on Amazon was very expensive and Michael's didn't have anything. The interweb was telling me to go to Hobby Lobby. After much personal reflection, I decided not to do that project, because even $1 going to these assholes was too many dollars in my mind.

Why bother to stay open? It's the end times. Just ask any evangelical fan of Trump (and Falwell). We're all going to burn in hell forever because we made god mad. We don't need no education Might as well close up and party like there's no tomorrow.
