I haven't needed to use them yet, but when I couldn't get t-paper, I bought boxes of Kleenex tissues. ☺

After over 5 weeks of looking, I finally found and was able to purchase 1 package of toilet paper, by going to Target, during the senior and pregnant women hour. Whoo Hoo!
I'm guessing they had about 50 packages when I got there. About 25 Northern extra soft and 25 Scott super soft. They had it stacked right by the door, in front of customer service, so they could keep an eye on it.
Has anyone else had trouble finding toilet paper?

Just remember peeps that kleenex and paper towels are not designed to break down in the sewer system like toilet paper is. If you toss in the toilet along with everyone and their uncle, there are going to be serious sewer and septic problems to compound the virus problem.

I haven't been able to find any TP. Not out yet but each time I go to grocery or Costco I look for some. Both Costco and grocery have early hours Tue and Thurs for us seniors so I'll go one of those days. I usually shop Wed and Sat so this will be a different day.
Last trip to grocery I found napkins and bought a package.

I bought some bath tissue from Home Depot that doesn’t fit my home roller, it’s meant for office use but I roll my own from it onto an old home roll.

I got some TP from Menards on my lunch hour the other day it was $4.50 for I think 12 rolls. It is an off brand, but it looks decent.

I have some TP.
A lot of talk about installing bidets among the neighbors. Only one neighbor has one.

Last week I went to my Costco around noon and they had plenty of TP. They finally stopped running out super early. But they've been strict with their limits and their supply chain is pretty good.

I installed a bidet toilet seat last fall (from Costco). No regrets! I do still have quite the stash of TP though, because we only get to Costco a few times a year, so I usually grab a package (or two) each time. My parents usually forget to ask me to pick some up for them too, so it's not just for my house.

If you toss in the toilet along with everyone and their uncle, there are going to be serious sewer and septic problems to compound the virus problem. I have started seeing reports about this happening, on the news. Seems a lot of people are using pieces of torn t-shirts and other types of rags too. Not good!

It was quite a bit of tee pee, probably would of last me a year or more. Don’t think I would consider it hoarding though because I was down to a roll and this was literally the only SKU in stock I could find that didn’t have significant price gouging and I have shared half of it so far with friends that were close to running out.

I went to our little post office and went to the little toitie. They have the big rolls of paper in a holder. In the cupboard were two extra large rolls. I took a few extra uses to take home. H. looked astonished at me. When I go back, I'll get a bit more. I heard someone in the men's rooms just pulling the stuff off in a rush. H must have been doing hand over hand method.

No TP or paper towels to be found here. Fortunately, we have plenty of both stashed at home. Hubs is old enough for the senior shopping hours at all the stores, but I'd prefer he did not risk it, given his health issues. I can do Walmart and Walgreens only. I might try one of them next week for the sake of paper goods, but really we are doing OK.
Never considered the office supply stores -- might be another option. We have Costco membership, but it's a trip from here.

I'm surprised by the number of people who are using shopping, or going out to pick up food from a restaurant, as entertainment for themselves, or their family.
They don't allow friends or family to come over, to stay safe. But they go to Target, Home Depot, Costco, IFA, etc, because they are bored and tired of being at home.
At least you can be relatively sure where your family members have been. Who knows who you're coming in contact with, when you go to the store.
But they are following the rules.

We were close to running out of tp when DH found some at the commissary near his office. He had to go in to print off some items too big for our home printer and decided to try them. They had plenty, so he grabbed two big (12) packs of the kind we like best.

I kind of hope those people who hoarded up all the tp, get stuck with a bunch of really harsh tp, when this is over.
