Still not really stocking up. Just doing the weekly shopping with a couple of extra things, like fruit snacks and my Bailey's. I did get 2 multipacks of Kleenex but one of those is for my desk at work.

Nothing was purchased, was in town today working at the house. Saw the lot at Walmart full and the local grocery pretty full.
While there saw a Caseys truck delivering and a Dollar Store truck hitting town, so stuff is coming in.
I did fill my tank, it was not quite half. Back home.
I'm hearing trump is considering lifting the stay at home orders. Wow, some financial people are telling him the cure is worse then letting the disease go. I'm not going to do that, I'm going to continue keeping my family safe. I don't know what that will do, I see a surge in cases today and more deaths.
Klobuchars husband is now in the hospital with the virus.
5 repubs are out quarantined.

Boeing shut down, one of their hospitalized workers with the virus died.
Like hubs said he can do that, but the deaths will spiral. On his back

On a happier note, if you order from Amazon using Prime, their "slow shipping" now gets you a $3 digital credit. I ordered a couple of things when it was $1.50, which was already an increase over the usual $1. I reordered Abby's Dasuquin. She has about 2 weeks left, maybe a little more. These credits help to support my Kindle addiction.

Yesterday it was DH's turn to shop. He actually scored TP, which is something I hadn't been able to do the past 2 weeks. He found everything on the list except flour. I am thankful we both have cooking and baking skills.
Saturday afternoon I called my mom, who said she went to Sam's Club at 7:30 AM to wait in line, snow, blanket, gloves and all. The store opens at 9. It reminded me of her Black Friday choices. While standing there, she spoke with an older gentleman who was shopping for other elderly folks, and to a woman with a family of 6. While they were waiting, 2 elderly women were crossing over from their parking space to get in line, and a woman driving past apparently thought they weren't walking fast enough, honked and gestured. Good times, and it's only going to get worse, IMO. On a positive note, over the weekend, I rediscovered how lovely the birds on our property sound this time of year. ETA: Oh, yeah, he stocked up at the liquor store, too. Beer for him, beer for visiting neighbors, and a few bottles of something something for yours truly.

First thing I may run out of (if it is not availble next time I go to the store) is olive oil. Still have a 99.9% full bottle of canola oil though, so not that big of a deal.
Something I won't run out of since I did not have any to begin with is Tylenol or Aleve. I keep forgetting to look for that and I am not willing to leave my house for it either.
Every couple of years I buy a small bottle of Tylenol and I prompty throw most of it out once it is well past its use-by date. I just don't have any use fot it most of the time.

They announced a stay at home order going into effect at midnight, and the first thing my DH asked was, "what do we need?" My answer was, "nothing, we have plenty for now, and I don't want you going out more than necessary." There's a couple things that are kind of low, but we're still stocked on those for at least a week, and it's absolutely nothing we can't do without.

Last week I went through my wife's medicine cabinet to see for sure what was in the house. Tossed 6 bottles of various over the counter pain pills, dated from 2011-2018.

We were able to switch our RX refills to mail-order which the pharmacy recommends. We tried that years ago but abandoned the idea because they never arrived so we'll see how this goes. I'm hoping that drug theft in the USPS has declined since our last experiment.

I've used mail order pharmacy for most things for at least 20 years. Never had anything stolen. Everything arrived.

I'm hoping that drug theft in the USPS has declined since our last experiment. Shortly before this whole mess hit the airwaves (we had like 6 or 8 confirmed cases here in the Bay Area and were considered a hotspot because of that - how quaint that looks now) I had quite a lot of pain in my hips, so I made a doctor's appointment. Doc decided that since she had me in her control anyway, she was going to give me my annual physical at the time. She also ordered my meds to be renewed for pick up that day. I now have enough for the next 4 months. Talk about a small silver lining to a Dx of arthritis in my hips. At least I won't have to worry about any of that stuff in the near future. #stayingpositive

I discovered ants invading my enclosed back porch- normal for this time of year. I immediately reached under the kitchen sink and found my supply of Terra ant poison traps and set one out.
Lesson learned from this crisis: don't hoard but don't let anything run out if you might need it on short notice, either.

I've also used prescription mail order delivery for several years with nothing stolen. Speaking of, yesterday I ordered a 3 month supply of the remaining 2 RX up for refill, and filled up the truck this morning. I think we're all set except the need for fresh produce again in a few days. Still waiting for a stay in place order, so we'll see. Of all things, 1-800-CONTACTS have been haranguing me via email since this started? Not sure contacts are on my radar at a time like this. Though, if I relied solely on them, and didn't wear glasses during the week, guess it would be a different story....

My county announced a stay in place order yesterday. We had to go pick up some prescriptions, so I wanted to try to fill out my grocery list. Only got two items on it, so the list will just continue to grow. I'm not stocking up on things at this point. Instead, I'm filling in the holes from using items. If I don't get them now, I'll get them later. We're pretty well stocked so I don't really need a whole lot. Except toilet paper. I'm afraid we're going to run out before I can get any.

YDS moved home from college. He brought a bunch of food. I already have a bunch of food. Now I’m trying to figure out where to put it all. The rest of the house can be in disarray (although it usually is neat) but I NEED my kitchen to be organized. First world problem, I know.

Our basement is unfinished but we have some studs up. DH took the wire shelves when his parents redid their closet and put them up. Those hold our spare canned goods and non perishables along with some small appliances we don't use every day.
I keep one or two in the kitchen pantry and the rest downstairs.

I usually organize by 'use by' dates ..... makes things a lot simpler
DGD#1 called yesterday and said her Costco (extremely busy) is out of TP by the time she gets there so I have to pick some up for her tomorrow. I will if my store has any by the time I get there'

Statewide stay at home order effective at 6 AM today through April 11th. Insurance is considered an essential service, so I'm "allowed" to be here in the office. We were sent a letter from our legal department to show authorities if necessary. DH also works in an essential trade and was given such a letter. Today's grocery list consists of fresh produce and mozzarella. One of his coworkers gave him flour earlier this week, so we're good there. GRG a/k/a goldenrulegirl , our main pantry is relatively small, so we keep back up food and paper supply stock in the back hall washroom. When we moved into our new to us home, the master closet had built in shelves, so we took the closet organizer from our prior home (cubes, shelves and cubbies from Target) and broke them into sections. Some are in the back hall, some in my home office for books, and a third stack in the coat closet for shoes.

Just got through with our weekly shopping trip. We hit Costco today.
Costco was nicely stocked, the only thing I could not find was my Lysol concentrate, but have about 1/3 a bottle left. They had no toilet paper, but oodles of paper towels. They had canned goods, pasta and were putting out a pallet of rice while we were there, so grabbed one as we were low. Meat, dairy, breads and produce were well stocked.
There was someone regulating how many were in the store, and carts were being sanitized as they were returned to grab. Check out had eliminated the divider, they don’t want you putting your purchases on the belt until the customer before you had left. $300 trip, but we also picked up stuff for all of our elderly neighbors.
Since TD is now home all day, he is going to fire up the smoker. We bought ribs for that.
