Toilet paper appears to be stocked out online everywhere. Bathroom tissue however is not if you don’t mind ordering the larger rolls used in office buildings that won’t fit on your normal home Teepee holder. Beggars can’t be choosers. Shhhh! Stop sharing!

The hospital just canceled all volunteers volunteering. I understand but I’m sad about it. That comprises 95% of my social life.

Same with me Zib. I don't know how to handle not having the VA to go to 2-3 days a week.

trump would actually be useful if he threw paper products out to people now.

I have very little storage space, and I've had a package of toilet paper in the back seat for weeks. It's not like it will freeze. Now I'm afraid someone will steal my car. They're more likely to break your window and steal your toilet paper. I suggest moving it inside ASAP.

My DH went to the store today to get veggies and he said he had to stand outside for 15 minutes in line just to get in.

I hate people sometimes. I wish they would have kept recording to see what happened. I'm hoping the store manager made them put a bunch back. That lady just wanted one pack and they had WAY too much.

Depends. DD says we can all just wear Depends. There's no shortage of those if the shelves at Publix are any indication. As soon as somebody else thinks of it, a shortage will develop

As soon as somebody else thinks of it, a shortage will develop lol I considered them, for the first time in my life, when making the trip up to this area and being in areas with 80+ miles between gas stations. I like coffee. The snow/ice was stressful and coffee helps. However, making yellow snow in 60+ MPH blowing snow hoping no one happens to drive by was not a fun experience.

I was thinking I might look for a bit more TP the next time I went to the store and then realized that the facility I run has 44 stalls that each have two rolls freshly stocked in each plus at least two dozen backup rolls in each of 4 buildings and three 48 roll cases in storage. And with no use for at least 6 weeks. I then thought "Revenue!"

I bought a package today that I probably won't really need today just because it was there. In my defense, I have two kids with really large families (6 and 7) so I don't know how well they are stocked. I have friends and neighbors that I would share with. I'd share a roll or two (they are mega-rolls) with strangers in need. It's hard to explain how the shortages make some of us feel. I really went out for a loaf of bread, which wasn't to be found. So I bought 1 package of toilet paper, 2 bags of chocolate, and a 3 pound package of ground beef at Target. When I got home, I took stock of what's in my pantry. It made me feel better, but there are some blanks. I really want to find bread tomorrow even though I eat only a few slices a week. I may try to freeze some, but there is so little room in my freezer. Like another poster on another thread, I may have to finish off the container of ice cream to make room.

The mood here is...almost festive. Maybe it's because there's toilet paper on the shelves again.

I live in KC and a girl at work was saying she can't find any. She went to Sam's, Costco, Amazon, and Price Chopper with no luck. Maybe I'm a little dense, but why is TP so important right now? I was at Costco in Independence yesterday and they had it- the expensive stuff (Charmin Ultra Soft), of course- out of Kirkland brand. Limit 1 pack per person but heck, I live alone That will last me forever. I had 4 rolls at home but given the insanity I decided to add to my supply.

One Christmas years ago, I flew up to Massachusetts to spend the holiday with my parents. I am a loud nose blower. Kleenex tissues for nose blowing just don't do it for me. I use paper towels, the 9"×5" size. The parents had all of one quarter of a roll of paper towels left-on Christmas Day! So I went out to buy a few rolls of paper towels Christmas day for them. I could not understand why they had so few paper towels on hand. I always have a pack of 8 or 12 rolls on-hand. I swore to myself after that visit that when I get old (70 next year) I would make sure I would not be like my parents; I would always have plenty of paper towels on hand. I think people horde toilet paper because it is an every day item we give little thought to during normal times. But we think of toilet paper (and paper towels) as a product used by a civiilied people. When the world turns upside-down for some folks, the most mundane item(s) become the most important thing(s) to us. Having many rolls of TP on-hand turns the upside- down world back to civilized right-side up just a little bit. Toilet paper is normalcy in an unnormal time.

ETA: One of those large packages will last me months also, but I'm getting 2 so I can give one to T1 since she hasn't been able to get any either.

Don't use hardly any Kleenex either, the kids blow their nose with toilet paper 99% of the time. A 3 pack of Kleenex and a 12 pack of paper towels is a year's stock up for us.

I busted into the 10-roll pack that I bought before the run on TP. It was a normal shopping thing. I usually get the 15 pack, but the store I went to didn't stock that size. I have a slot that is exactly that size in my cabinet. I have zero idea how long 10 rolls last. I have never really paid attention. When we get down to 3 or 4 rolls (2 going and 2 waiting) I buy another pack.
So, I now will find put how long 10 lasts. St. Patrick's day was the beginning (although, the other bathroom had a fairly full roll going.) I once heard that if everyone peed in the shower just once per day it would save trillions of gallons of water and some huge number of trees. So, there is that....

I can only use one type of TP or I get a rash due to what I assume is some sort of weird allergy to something in it.
I ordered my case of TP because I couldn't find the type I need locally and I didn't want to be stuck with Charmin and itching and in pain during this misery.

If you strike out, check out a building supply company. This is where some locals have been able to find TP when they strike out at the regular stores.

Staples also has a bit of TP on their shelves, usually. If you are passing by one, it might be worth a peek.

Our farm supply and places like the corner hardware store generally stock TP as do the gas stations and camping supply places like Gander Mountain (although probably spendy individual rolls). Around here it seems that people are posting on Facebook in the mornings that Walmart, Target and Hyvee are stocked up, but by late afternoons it's gone.

I think we have only used 3 rolls so far. I am desperately trying to keep TD from using my good dish towels from drying the cast iron skillet. He has ruined several of them, they look filthy but are clean. Drives me nuts!

Hasn’t this been going on for 3 weeks already? Is there any room in their houses or are they building chairs, tables, walls of TP?
