I went to Walmart this morning and the entire TP aisle was empty. When I went to Sam’s on Wednesday at lunch time, I couldn’t find any. Fortunately, we have some but I just wanted to replenish with 1 pack.

Amazon is essentially out unless you want to buy in bulk or funny stuff like TP with Trump's face on it.

Yesterday there was just store brand at the grocery store. They are limiting you to 3 packages.
The dollar store had some.
Aldi's had none.
I bought a package of the store brand. We have some.

Both the local grocery store and a Costco has toilet paper. Didn’t buy any, not necessary.
I tried to go to Costco, but could find no parking, I need to hit the pharmacy for a prescription but I saw carts leaving with TP. I didn’t need the prescription that bad. Filled up with gas and hit the grocery store. Pretty much everything was stocked.

I have 18 mega rolls. All major grocers and big box stores out here. And the mayor issued a notice to only flush "The Three P's", pee, poop and paper, noting that wipes and paper towels will clog the sewers. I'm on the verge of deciding that human intelligence is an oxymoron.
It's beyond bizarre because I've seen my neighbors ignore a hurricane on the doorstep and just stock booze for a party. Now they are hoarding TP and water like it's the end of days.

The TP is in Fort Knox. The going price for a roll of TP is now greater than a 8 ounce ingot of 24K gold.

On the bright side, one lady in line at Aldi said she's using this to teach her children not to be picky eaters. She flat out said they will eat what she can find or go hungry-no more whining about not liking this or that food.

I live in KC and a girl at work was saying she can't find any. She went to Sam's, Costco, Amazon, and Price Chopper with no luck. Maybe I'm a little dense, but why is TP so important right now?

And some of us were reasonable humans and now that we're low, we can't find any! Ok, I did find some today, but it was more work than it had to be.

Yesterday I went to Costco . No TP , paper towels , hand sanitizer and wipes . It was also super crazy crowded . Today I went to Stater Bros , Vons , Rite Aid , CVS and the Dollar Tree , no TP , no paper towels , no wipes , no hand sanitizers. When I walked into Vons , it was so crazy there weren’t any carts left and store was so crowded , I could hardly walk around . So I said , NOPE , I’m outta here .

But why TP? I get cleaning supplies, but what's the fixation with TP? I saw this list of recommended items to stock up on in case of quarantine. And TP was on that list! As was Spam and bottled water.
Well, I have never bought Spam in my life and I don't intend to start now. And while I do have quite a bit of bottled water on hand that is because I live in EQ-country not because of the coronavirus. I am one of those go to the kitchen, open faucet, and voila you have water people.
I think the French Canadians have it right → we should stock up on wine (and dark chocolate)just in case we have to stay indoors for weeks at a time...

My mom probably has enough to last through the apocalypse but I'd prefer my own brand, not her overly thick "my kids are gonna waste so much of this" one.

I bought TP, and Paper Towels about a week ago when they first said there might be quarantines and people were starting to hoard. I usually have a big package of TP and Paper towels in my basement. If I spend 75 I got 15 GC, so I bought TP and Paper Towels for the house and DH's office. I almost told him to put it in the back room, because he has had customers steal the TP in the past, but I didn't. I also bought wipes for the house and sent some to DH's office too. Now I thought I would buy one extra pack - yeah the shelves are empty. No sanitizing wipes, no hand sanitizer, no alcohol, no Thermometers, No TP and only a few packages of paper towels. MIL said she tried to buy rice at Sam's club yesterday and the shelves were empty. She also said the store was very crowded and the lines were very long. She said they were there 2 hours. She said they did not have TP either.
I have 3 thermometers, I really would like some probe covers. Can't find those anywhere. I had a thermometer I bought last week, but then found it cheaper at Walgreens, so I returned it. I decided it would be a good idea for each of us to have their own thermometer, and the one I tired out was a freebie and it took quite awhile - the newer ones are faster. I had just bought rice, and then I bought another one b/c it is a staple and we use it a lot, so DH was taking her a bag this am.

But why TP? I get cleaning supplies, but what's the fixation with TP? It's a vicious cycle. People are afraid they're going to be forced into staying in their homes or the stores will all be closed down and they won't be able to get it. The ones that aren't that worried then still buy because they're afraid the crazy people are going to empty the shelves and there won't be any when they do need it. I think it will calm down once the hoarders are satisfied with their year's supply. I went to the grocery store today to buy lunch and took a stroll down the TP aisle just to see and they had some. Not a lot, all the mega packs were gone and there was a sign limiting people to one pack, but there were quite a few smaller packs.
The funny thing is, you can live just fine without TP.

Not surprised. Someone told me a church got ripped off of all the hand sanitizer they had. Do people not realize washing your hands is better? That you can make your own hand sanitizer?

The funny thing is, you can live just fine without TP. There's been no TP on our last two visits to Walmart. I've got it on our list just so I can restock what we've used in the last couple of weeks and not run out. I can't be certain TP will be there when I need it.

I saw a post on Facebook from Denmark. Apparently, folks over there are stocking up on it as well. I think it's a perfectly logical thing to get (reasonable quantities in advance of). It doesn't go bad, running out makes me have to go out and get some, and you know you'll use it eventually.
Getting a year's supply-- My husband did once about 10 years ago when he found a killer deal. It was great to not have to worry about it for a long time. Would I fight people over it? No way!

I just got back form the store to pick up some odds and ends. I was stunned at how packed the store was. In addition to no TP, which I didn’t need anyway, about 75% of the meat was gone, no potatoes, no tuna. It just sort of had an apocalypse feel.
This just isn’t rational.

End of the World Costco was out last week, but they have enough now. I think they are still limiting sales to 2 packs/customer (that's 24 rolls per pack). Other stores have it, but are placing limits. It's not the end of the world...

It's definitely making me move that bidet attachment higher on my list to buy.
