There have been a few ratings over the years..Donald not yet included Ratings and rankings do change with the times Just one assessment... ------------------------------------------------- "Abraham Lincoln, who preserved the Union and ended slavery, is our greatest president while immediate predecessor James Buchanan, who dithered and dallied while war clouds gathered, is the worst of 43 presidents. Ronald Reagan, who ended the Cold War without firing a shot and restored Americans’ confidence in themselves, ranks ninth while Barack Obama, who presided over the slowest economic recovery since World War II and failed to live up to his own transformational expectations, ranks 12th." ------------------------------------------- "These are some of the headline findings of C-SPAN’s third survey of historians on presidential leadership, released back in 2017. The survey, following one in 2000 and one in 2009, didn’t include Donald Trump, the 44th man to hold the office. Who make up the Top 10 presidents on the Presidential Historians Survey? They are, in descending order: Lincoln, George Washington, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Theodore Roosevelt, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Harry Truman, Thomas Jefferson, John F. Kennedy, Reagan, and Lyndon B. Johnson." -------------------------------------------- nationalinterest.org/blog/buzz/trump-might-not-meet-americas-best-and-worst-presidents-ever-ever-124196

Yeah that ‘slowest economic recovery’ talking point. How long should a recovery take from the depths of the Great BushCo. Recession? It’s in year ten right now.

I'm pretty sure recovery from the 1929 crash took longer.
And how do you say Reagan restored Americans confidence in themselves? What kind of measurement is that? I don't remember Americans ever not being confidant/arrogant.

and he will ask C-Span to be banned, and historians to be summarily executed, no doubt.

I don't remember Americans ever not being confidant/arrogant. Ugh! I remember the Reagan Recession all too well. DH & I were fresh out of college, and trying to land our first jobs. What a joke. DH was stuck in his part-time college job for months, and I didn't get a full time job until January or February after we graduated. I still remember being in a large room with many others, dozens, maybe hundreds at one company, filling out a paper application. My first job wasn't even a dollar above minimum wage, but we had to eat. I wouldn't relive those days again for anything. I'm sure Donald will be at the bottom of the heap. Just like my Mother's generation remembered Hoover. And that wasn't fondly.

And TN State Rep. Micah Van Huss (R-Jonesborough) will add C-Span to the bill he is sponsoring to have CNN and the Washington Post recognized as "fake news."

The great depression of 1929 was still in effect up to December 7, 1941, then in one day , not mysteriously disappeared...WW2 started for the US...so much of the rest of the world having been at war for a couple of years now, China since 1933 I believe.

Buchanan sure was an interesting one, talk about messing with the Judiciary, his fingerprints were all over Dred Scott before the Supreme Court made its decision.
I’m not sure anyone in the office of Presidency could have stopped the Civil War from happening, they may have only been able to delay it.
He also had to deal with:
the “panic of 1857” kinda like 2008
The Utah “Mormon” war
