Native American burial sites in Arizona have been blown up by construction crews building the US-Mexico border wall, according to lawmakers and tribal leaders. Authorities confirmed that "controlled blasting" has begun in Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, a Unesco recognised natural reserve. Raul Grijalva, a Democrat congressman, called the destruction "sacrilegious". The government failed to consult the Tohono O'odham Nation, he said. Environmental groups also warn of the damage being done to the local underground aquifer, as well as to migrating wildlife in the remote desert region about 115 miles (185km) west of Tucson. In their bid to build the wall, the White House has waived dozens of laws - including ones that protected Native American graves, endangered species, and the environment. www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-51449739

Who cares about thousands of years of history when it can help someone get 4 more years in the White House.

Haven't you figured out that if we (European Caucasians) want what the Native Americans have, we just take it?

Lets take a second to talk about the way they treat their own lands. I used to do lots of work for the Navajo Nation, mostly in Tuba City AZ. High U.S. 160, going east of U.S. 89, early in the morning driving into the sun, on the side of the road the entire way to Tuba City is covered with shards of glass of many colors, Millions and millions of pieces of glass.
where they have thrown out the beer, wine, and whiskey bottles while blowing down the at high speed. Hmmmm, after drinking all that, wonder how many stopped took a piss on that side of the road,, their "Sacred" land??

Especially if the reason you want the land is to keep other brown people out who from a historical perspective probably also have more of a right to that land than said rich white dude. Anyone who whines about it is a snowflake. . . Unless they are a white rancher, once they start whining about their land being seized for this wall THEN it'll be a problem.

And it's really clear you have no idea about the history of Natives in the US and how they ended up on shithole reservations with limited employment prospects.

For some one who has no problem with voicing your opinion, about what a despicable person I am, If I voice an opinion of some real conditions, done by a certain segment of society, What would your description of me be if I was a drunk, beat my wife, drove drunk, did not work, want more free stuff, panhandled for money, ect ect?? Oh wait the would make me a Democrat!!!

Really, how much money is pumped into the reservations every year, Every man, woman, child, get free medical, free education, all the way thru college,
How do they use it??

Excuse me? Haven't you figured out by now you don't have a clue whether a given area is a sacred burial ground? Assume what you like in your ignorance; however, that "piss ant hill" may have been the resting place for people's sacred ancestors. It's meaningful to them even if it isn't to you. It's not all about you.

You can't convince me that anyone here wouldn't be livid if the government ran a bulldozer through a cemetery that your own family members were laid to rest. It wouldn't matter if it was your parents, grandparents, or others further up your family tree. Those areas should always be left alone. Yes, they ARE sacred to living family members.

Really, OC? Could you be much more insensitive?! I know. How about we go dig up the cemetaries where you and all the other trumpies have family buried? Pretty sure there would be some objections to that!

He laughed said you bet they do!

It doesn't matter what they do. It's THEIR land and even though you may feel they're disrespecting it themselves doesn't mean we have the right to do it too. We have taken enough from them!
