I would love to have good health, but don't think it in the cards for me, still I want and need it.
Yes, I think my docs look at me sadly when I say no more statins. But I can't live like that. After stopping the statins my cholesterol is higher then before I started, total of 225, HDL is high too but not as good as it was, LDL is 145. Going to check my carotid arteries in March. Likely more clogging in the heart one also, but with what is called twisted and tortured arteries, likely not helping. Some time ago the big aortic artery in the middle of your chest I read somewhat elongated but no ballooning appearing at this time.
So its a choice of being in pain so bad you cannot function or shortening your life. Not good choices. If the pain level gets better to where I can stop the pills I may reconsider and try another. It appears to be getting some better but of course now the pills are masking so I won't know for awhile. I don't like taking them leaves my mind feeling spacey, seems to take me longer to think.
Right now not complaining, just trying to be logical about it all. I am taking Plavix and baby aspirin, will continue those and half the dose of Premarin. Doc and I talked today about my B 6 being to high, I stopped it immediately about Dec 4 so she is retesting it. Also have been on 50k of D for quite a few months and testing it too. Will likely know about those tomorrow, those can help or cause issues if to low or to high. Next month she is retesting thyroid levels.
Right now I'm feeling pretty good, signed back up for the fitness center today and going to try harder to improve my food choices. Tonight was vegetable soup. But tomorrow night is fajitas.

I need to find out what is wrong with my eye.
I need a "new" car.
I want a new apt/place to live.
I wish I had a BF, but not bad enough to look for one.
Basically I'm okay. For that, I am grateful.

We have our annual list of home repairs ready: we need a new hot water heater (ours is 13 years old and we prefer to replace at 10 after having had one rupture at a previous house). We also need a new pump for the laundry sink in the basement. My car needs some work. YDS is graduating and needs a vehicle to carry him out into the big wide world. We need to redo the upstairs bathroom, but DH wants to do most of it himself. We need to do some painting.
As for wants, I want it all done NOW!! 😂

I’m trying to take a holistic approach, as I age, I want very little other than more time. I enjoy working and working out, but between the two it leaves me very little time to get projects done around the house.
I’ve changed my focus to “first do no harm, the rest comes easy after that”. I think I’m becoming a hippie 🙂

I want a Lamborghini, a house in Palm Beach, and a full time cook! I need a new desktop. Mine is 10 yrs old and OS is Wim 7. But iPad has almost replaced it so hmmm about the so called need. Go for a housekeeper who can also cook. And now I am thinking about Pijak and how she might be doing. Or if she is even still alive. She would be in her 80s and that is old in Thailand.

I was going to suggest replacing the key covers, but at 16 years old and with the state of coal production/availability, it's going to be increasingly difficult to get fuel for a coal-fired laptop. You should probably spend the $$ for a new laptop and just cut back on food I have a hamster in a wheel powering my laptop. Poor little guy is exhausted. I have the money for a new laptop, but I hate throwing away something that still works. Buy a bluetooth keyboard for it?

I looked for a little old lady car in December, when the crankshaft in my car sheered off. I didn't find one. Ugh. My mechanic ended up making some unconventional (my word, not his) repairs to my car and got it running. He didn't know how long it would last, but he didn't charge me anything, which was super nice! I got my car back 2 weeks ago. I think it broke again. Finding a car is esp hard, when you don't have one. Ugh. I'm glad you got one. What did you get?

I almost bought a Kia, they are less expensive and son had one for many years he bought new. They are pretty good little cars. Later I might get one of those as new car prices in other brands are getting beyond me. Or beyond what I want to pay.
