Pennsylvania woman drove into oncoming traffic to 'test her faith,' police say A Pennsylvania woman was arrested after allegedly driving into oncoming traffic and hitting a car with three passengers to "test her faith," according to an affidavit from Pennsylvania State Police. A week later, a judge revoked her bail because he considered her a threat to herself and the community, according to court documents. Nadejda Reilly, 51, told Pennsylvania State Trooper Bruce Balliet on January 7 that she was driving on a local route for several hours waiting for a "calling from God." When she saw a car driving on the opposite side of State Route 93, she allegedly "wanted to test her faith by driving through the vehicle," according to the affidavit. She then drove her 2017 Kia Optima into the opposing lane of traffic and struck the car, the affidavit said. www.cnn.com/2020/01/20/us/car-crash-god-pennsylvania/index.htmlNo remorse. No concern for the people she injured.

Thank goodness nobody was killed. Just when you think you know everything there is to watch out for when driving here comes this. I can't wait for automated cars to take off.

I guess she cherry-picked her Bible readings and skipped this one.
Luke 4:12 12 Jesus answered, "It is said: 'Do not put the LORD your God to the test.'"

A number of years ago I became aware of an Episcopal parish along the Mississippi coast that was devastated by a hurricane, demolishing the church and outbuildings. They rebuilt on the same, waters edge site as before, citing their faith in God. Personally, I believe that God expects us to demonstrate faith that he created us with sufficient intelligence to assess risks and react appropriately. I am grateful our ancestors weren't so much into the testing thing or we might not be here.

How more obvious can I make it that you need to get off the coast?"

I'm watching the rally in Virginia on the news, and there's some nuts hollering about their "god-given right" to have guns. Can someone please point out where in the bible god gives idiots like this the right to carry semi-automatic weapons? Thanks ever so much.

Even Jesus refused to jump from the roof of the temple, when tempted by the devil. Like my Dad always used to say, "you can't fix stupid".

Generally around here the wrong way driver is drunk/high. We had another one this weekend. The wrong way driver died this time (for some reason they usually live and some innocent person dies instead).
The guy's sister has posted on FB for a Go Fund me site for funeral expenses. Apparently he's also a convicted drug dealer.

Stupider, Stupider, Stupider (and deadlier): Panamanian village sleepless with fear after ritual killingsA week after six children and a pregnant woman were sacrificed in a brutal religious ritual, the inhabitants of a remote village in northwestern Panama fear they might be next. "No-one can sleep. As soon as they hear a cricket or a cockroach everyone's on high alert," said Pacifico Blanco. Blanco lives in Altos del Terron, an isolated indigenous community where the victims of the ritualistic killings were found last week in a mass grave. Bibles, messages alluding to the devil and a heap of rope can still be seen at the site of the massacre -- a makeshift church in dense jungle that was used by an obscure sect that called itself "God's New Light." Police raided the church on January 15, arresting 10 people and rescuing 15 captives, including children, they believe were being prepared for sacrifice. According to the public prosecutor, the 10 suspects, now in preventive detention, tied up their victims and beat them to death with Bibles, sticks and machetes. The pregnant woman was killed in front of her children, who were then murdered too. Complete article here: Panamanian village sleepless with fear after ritual killings

Why are we not using the terms "Christian extremist", "Christian terrorist", "Christian radical"?
We would be using the terms extremist, terrorist, and/or radical if the individuals were of Islamic faith.

I will take a lady with a Hijab all day vs. that lady. Although, I will say the full burkas sorta freak me out. The same as if someone was walking around with a ski mask on, or if someone put a bag over their head. Full facial covering makes me lose trust in you, even if I am wrong to do so.
