My review had to be rescheduled until Friday due to a scheduling conflict 😞. Two more days of waiting. Oh well, it will all be over soon.

I like January. I get started on the taxes and in doing so clean out old files. One thing leads to another and I get more things organized. It's snowing like crazy today; it's a good day to archive old tax records, go over the budget, figure out the 2020 RMD and a plan, go through my old recipe books and save the recipes I use over and over and toss all the others I meant to try and didn't.

Taxes have been filed. Mine are simple. The IRS has even accepted my tax return.

Yay, I’m done. No word on bonuses yet, that won’t come until the end of January (I usually found out during my review, but my previous supervisor always waited until the last moment, so the review just happened to correspond with the bonus release). Anyway, review went well, nice adjustment this year, now I can start to plan out 2020.

I'm pretty sure it's January 76th today.

Although, January and February are usually very slow and I don't make too much money. So far, I've made more this month than every previous January and February combined. It's probably because January has 135 days this year.

Reviews? HAHAHAHAHA My company makes us fill out our own review form in January which absolutely sucks to do, this year I think I'll just copy last years. Then it gets kicked back to our boss to put in his own input, then it goes to corporate for approval where it sits for months. If things go as they "should" around May we get called in to go over our reviews and to set goals for the year (even though we're almost halfway through it), then a few weeks after that we get called in to get our raise...usually a 2-3% COL one.
This is how ours are done. What a pain.
I hate trying to promote myself in my reviews, because I feel so fake doing it. I miss the old days when your boss told you what you need to work on, and we went our merry way.
