I have fresh peaches from the farmer's market - I can share @missrigby . I like to eat my fruits as they are. Me, too, except for peaches because I can only eat them if they've been peeled. If I'm gonna go to the trouble of peeling them, I'm gonna turn them into a cobbler. Guess I'll just go make hot fudge pudding cake instead. I have the ingredients (no peaches needed!).

I just wash my instant pot by hand. The lid is the most PIA part and that shouldn't go in the dishwasher. The pot part is non stick so it washes pretty easily as long as stuff isn't dried on it.
Grilling burgers tonight. It'll make a quick meal before the baseball game. Salad on the side.

painter is here tonight, and not for a short day, either. dinner will end up being the end of my Chinese leftovers. I've been picking at it a little at a time the past 3 days.

Hot Fudge Pudding Cake is in the oven. I halved the recipe so that we can each only have one helping.
DD said there's no cookbook with her IP. I'm gonna look online for a recipe for stuffed peppers because that's something DSIL really likes.
I'm trying to butter him up in hopes that he can be guilted into getting vaccinated.

DD and DGD aren't home yet. The pudding cake is done. I have to eat some to make sure it's okay for everybody else. Right? I have to hurry up and eat some while it's still warm so my vanilla bean ice cream will be melty. Right?
Right. I'm gonna eat some.
ETA: forgot how much I like this stuff!

I got a full filet and a half of cod at the market just now, a little more than I thought I was getting. pups and I will be eating well the next couple of days. *their fish will be cooked unseasoned.
tonight will be blackened or Mignonette Pepper-crusted cod over a Caesar salad. I haven't decided which spice blend yet.
tomorrow night, I'll slice some veggies and hit the Blackstone with all of it.
ETA: I found no croutons, either homemade or backup stash. 👎 but I did have tortilla strips. so my cod was heavily chili seasoned, and I used shredded Colby Jack cheese instead of parm for a southwest Caesar.

Macaroni and cheese, green beans and ground meat casserole.
I browned enough meat for nachos, tacos, and maybe hamburger gravy.

time for another batch cook, quick leftover grab meal. excellent timing since I'm not that hungry after a late lunch. bonus! I'm using up a broccoli crown that's seen some better days.
I doctored up a packet of Lipton rice with a chopped broccoli crown, onion, garlic, and I used chicken broth instead of water. I'm going to stir in a can of chicken when it's almost done cooking.
cost? $1 for the rice and broccoli, maybe the chicken, not sure. everything else is minimal.

Thursday night we had dinner out for our anniversary. Mexican food and margaritas.
Friday night I picked up a pizza. $22 with tip. Half of it is left for lunches this weekend.

As I've probably mentioned before, DD doesn't cook. However...tonight she made quesadillas. When she asked if I wanted a quesadilla, I figured she was going to go fetch it from a drive-thru. Dang. She actually made them in her very own kitchen. Tasty. Mighty tasty

I'm doctoring up a frozen pizza tonight. the painter used a fine sander this morning. I hadn't covered up my knife block, a couple cabinets were still without doors that were drying, and I can just smell the paint dust in the air. I plan to wash my pizza cutter right after I pop the pizza in, and I'll be good. this week will be mostly takeout, I think.

Sunday we had a late lunch. I had some cheese cubes, triscuits and a yogurt.

takeout tonight, I'm done with today. have been perusing menus other than the closest Greek pizza shop, since their phone has been busy the past 20min. I don't even want anything at this point. going to try the Greek place one more time. if successful, I'll be ordering a large eggplant sub ($9.75) and onion rings($5.50), which will be two meals.
ETA: nevermind. phone is still busy, and I don't want anything else I dug up for menus. going for "free" with stuff that was already here. black bean burger and waffle fries. I didn't season the fries at all, so I can share with the pups, but I dumped out the last half of the bag on the sheet pan. I'll grill off the burger and roll. paper plates FTW.
have I mentioned I want my kitchen back?

Southwest chicken foil packets. Rice, black beans, chicken, bell peppers, salsa and cheese wrapped in foil packets and baked. Original recipe called for onions but I'm out.

another doctored frozen pizza tonight. it's raining, so I can't grill. and I don't wanna go out in the mess for takeout. I feel like a solid "get off my lawn!" wouldn't be out of line here. 🤦♀️

Leftovers for Wednesday. I treated myself to a small cup of chocolate vanilla twist frozen custard. $4.50 for the custard.
I do not remember it costing that much at the one by work. I guess though real estate is cheaper in the hood work is in and it's probably been 5 or so years since we used to go regularly.

monsoon rain all day today, no grilling. on my Walmart run, I checked the selection of thin-sliced stuff for ease of prep in the current state of my kitchen. perfect - ~1lb of thin sliced turkey breast. I also grabbed a lemon, and I'll be making turkey piccata tonight after the painter heads out. 2 pans, and a paper plate for the dredging flour. easy.

We were in the city today so I picked up rib eyes at Sam's Club as I didn't put anything out to thaw.
Picked up fresh bell peppers also. So on the griddle I sauteed thin sliced sweet onions, bell peppers, and zucchini. I grilled the steaks. We also got fresh corn and boiled it. Then had cesaer salad we all like. Dinner was really good, I have used our grill more the last year then ever and with addition of the griddle will likely use them both more. We really like food cooked on them.
I have pork cubes and I'm marinating them in sati babi marinade. they have these at all the fairs and they started selling their sauce. I will put them on bamboo skewers and grill them for DD and I. Don't think hubs will like it, so for lunch tomorrow.
Then I have to think of dinner again, humm.
Maybe tenderized round steak, dipped in flour, and browned, then simmered with a cup of water, cup of celery, and a cup of onion. When done it creates a gravy, melt velveeta over the top, its good. Maybe mashed potatoes and some green beans. Hubs will like that.

I pulled out a couple strip steaks, so will grill these. Baked potatoes and grilled asparagus is the rest of the meal.
Clueless as to the rest of the weekend, but guess there will be at least one meal out.

I was going to make dinner but it's been a week. I also wanted to go to Lowe's tonight. I swear everyone goes there on the weekend.
I ran into a niece there so that took longer than I thought.
I hit up a drive through on the way home, $12.

I’m thinking we may hit our local Mexican place this weekend. Tomorrow will be a month since my last margarita. Not gonna be a mango one though.

My weekend lunches were more exciting than dinner. Saturday I made risotto and Sunday I had one of my homemade calzones.
Sunday dinner grilled ribeyes, sweet corn on the cob and squash casserole.
