Butter sautéed snapper filet, steamed broccoli from the garden splashed with homemade garlic-red wine vinegar, and cole slaw with cabbage from the garden. A glass of a 2014 NZ Pinot Noir.

I am adjusting my meals for the next few days -
leftover pizza for tonight and tomorrow is the rest of the bag of General Tao Chicken with baked rice and over the weekend I am baking a quiche so I have brunch covered.
Dinner saturday will be fish and corn on the grill -- I will probably have left over rice and salsa to fill this out.
Sunday is going to be rainy and I have a black bean soup that will make adding chicken and extra beans.

Grandson wants hamburgers and fries, but DD and hubs likes the same, so it will be.
I am having gamehens and rice one evening.
Bought more salmon and asparagus, apparently grandson likes both.
And more corn on the cob. His mom had trouble getting to eat so she said.
We aren't, he will say I'm very hungry and gets fed. After he ate last night he wanted something else so an apple it was. These crisp ones are very sweet.
Oh and tomorrow I think I will make lasagna, but need ricotta cheese.

I picked up Chinese takeout, trying a new-to-me menu item alongside a pair of known good ones. spicy green beans are a very tasty keeper option, with some veggie rice noodles and teriyaki chicken. $39 (incl. tip) and I have leftovers for days.

Tonight with the Dubettes at the lake: Smoke grilled sockeye and halibut (for Donnadub). Mixed greens from the garden with a tzatziki dressing and a farro/grilled green bean side dish with feta and radishes. A glass of 2018 Yakima valley Tempranillo. A 70% cacao mole chocolate bar split 4 ways for dessert.

Last night we went to a restaurant where a friend works. She gave us an "employee discount" and then also left a whole bunch of stuff off the ticket. It is a sushi place, but not traditional- many of the rolls are friend, and there is unconventional ingredients. Tasty though. I got Ramen, and ate about half. So tonight I ate the rest. My family is on their own.

It is HOT and will only get hotter this week.... Planned suppers accordingly: Last night: DH grilled up the first of many cuts to come from the locally raised beef we bought. We had homemade slow cooker banana bread and 4 different types of veggies on the side. Tonight: BBQ Chicken and black bean tacos (Minus the pepper and corn.) I'll whip up spicy riced cauliflower and homemade avocado crema. Tuesday: Keto club lettuce wraps Wed: Crock Pot Spaghetti Squash Chow Mein with chicken breasts, not thighs Thurs: Salads topped with salmon Fri: Take out from? Sat: Solstice party BBQ including locally raised ground beef with brats, pasta salad, beans, and whatever sides people bring. Sun: Leftovers Have a fantastic week, everyone!

I freshened up some leftovers with a piece of baked salmon. (used up the last of the spicy green beans and some white rice poached from the pup stash).
the salmon was a large piece, about 2/3lb, so I trimmed it down for dinner and saved the pieces for a salmon burger tomorrow. will likely pair that with a green salad.
past that, idk. I have some cooked chicken that needs to be used up, too.

It's going to get rather warm so I will be doing a steak on the grill and than adding it to a caesar salad for fast easy meals during the warmer days.
I just need to pull the meat out of the fridge when I get home. For dinner tonight I have quiche.

I'm going to feed DH a lasagna out of the freezer...there was only 1 left in there, I'm not sure what I'll have, maybe some chicken fried rice since he won't eat that. I didn't realize how late it was & didn't get my other thing started. Have no idea what you call this other thing but got it from a friend on another board....a hunk of meat, like what might be used for swiss steak, cover it well with Montreal steak seasoning...lay it in the bottom of a crock pot, cover it with sliced onions and then a can of diced tomatoes...cook on slow until tender. Serve with whatever floats your boat. I was thinking about roasted potatoes & asparagus for me & some kind of beans for DH.

I just finished prepping for fajitas.
Hope little guy likes them. So far he has ate everything I've cooked, well, except for some green beans. At least he will try them.

I'm tired, had to take DD up, her gut was bothering her, so they prescribed flagyl. It's good we have a history there so I can get her treated. All her docs know what pain in those areas mean for her.
But I went shopping, got a new climbing post for the kitties and a HUGE litterbox. I think they will like that. I found little guy a bunch of clothes on the clearance racks. $26 and $36 for jeans for him? Crazy I found some on sale.
We are just having hot dogs for dinner, I'm more tired then if I worked all day.

I lose my kitchen to the painter as of 330 tomorrow afternoon. today, I prepped everything I like in a Cobb salad, except the chicken. I'll grill that tomorrow. I will be able to pick and choose my salad from all of the options - diced tomatoes, cukes, sautéed garlic corn, black beans, bacon bits, diced hard boiled eggs. I can chop romaine hearts out on the deck, no prob.
dinner tonight was half a frozen pizza that I tweaked with crumbled bacon, green onion, and spinach. this was done on purpose, in order to have leftover quick grab options.

I was going to do hotdogs on the grill, but the gas was out and we were to tired to change the tank. So I microwaved them and we had french fries too. Everybody was happy. Then for dessert a dilly bar from DQ, little guy had never had one, he sure liked that.

I forgot how good the local restaurant is here. Tonight, we had coconut crusted shrimp with a ginger sauce and a Cajun/garlic shrimp. Both were quite good, and the chef really does a good job with sauces. This morning, TD had a quesadilla with a habenaro hot sauce that was really good. Now TD wants me to go make nice to the chef! Pimping me out for his sauces!

last night, I took the pups to the patio where I met a friend. they split a chicken tenders order. I had a chicken Caesar wrap with fries (that I shared) and a couple glasses of chianti. $50, including tip.
tonight, I'm using up some leftovers in a chicken and black bean quesadilla. it evens up the pricing from last night. 😉

Tonight is grilled chicken and corn on the cob. Than I going to make tuna fish and chop veggies for snacking. Maybe do some deviled eggs if it's not too hot.

takeout tonight. I just haven't decided if that means pizza (meh), Chinese, or sushi. likely not the pizza if that's how I feel about it now.
