Do you find this more vinegary than the sriracha? Not really. It's pretty much all heat with a smidge of garlic. I'd say the biggest difference is that sriracha is a lot sweeter. @chiver, the label has a warning for traces of garlic, no mention of shellfish excellent, I will have to find some. the vinegar is what turns me off to Sriracha if I'm using more than a quick squirt of it. thanks for the tip!

love gochujang. I don't think I kept the container I had in my old house when I moved to this place. I've got a solid shopping list going for a month from now, though. lol...
it is getting humid here, I may make myself a cool caprese salad for dinner. pesto is made, tomatoes are quite ripe. I can filch some shredded chicken from what I cooked for the pups today for more protein.

I have chicken in the fridge, but I don't feel like cooking. I'll probably just have leftover burritos and make the chicken tomorrow.

I ended up having popcorn for dinner last night. Oh well. Tonight I'm making a quinoa bowl. Quinoa and shrimp. I'm making guacamole to put on top and will probably throw in some steam in bag veggies. I have zumba tonight so that will be a quick and easy dinner.
I'll use the chicken tomorrow and make chicken and dumplings from my cookbook I got. That was really good. T1 should probably be bringing some more stuff by to keep here since she has to be out of her apartment by Wednesday.

I'm having another night of roasted veggies. I enjoyed it so much last week I made another pan full last afternoon and it's all ready to go into the oven tonight.

Tomorrow night doing a dinner I auctioned off for our school fundraiser. About 20 people, making beef Wellington as the main course. Caprese for hors d'oeuvres, a friend making margaritas/daiquiris. Roasted veggies (squash, zucchinis, broccoli, brussel sprouts) and raspberry cake for dessert. Should be fun

DH forgot to marinade the elk steak yesterday, so he'll grill them tonight. Speaking of not wanting to cook, instead we had Cobb salads I had planned for today's meatless Monday last night instead of today. Refreshing and light in 97 degree weather.

I've got about ~1lb of pork country ribs marinating in Ah-So sauce, to be sauteed tonight alongside some garlic baby bok choy and white rice (rice is a maybe). I'll be able to use leftover pork to make pork fried rice in the next day or so as well, to use up more veggies.
$2.25 pork ribs $1.50 (?) bok choy - from the Misfits box. guessing on $

You know, if you guys would just invite me to dinner, I wouldn't be facing leftover sloppy joes. Maybe I should post a sign-up list to help you all along.

come on up, I love cooking for other people. 😁
those ribs I mentioned earlier will wait til the am to cook low and slow in the oven. hopefully the baby bok choy makes it another day. it will be a good silid lunch before I head out for home inspection.
dinner tonight is really shaping up to be a repeat of last night. I bought more tomatoes today, and a good proper crusty baguette.

Last night had a small bowl of roasted veggies....oh they were so good!!! I have the biggest bowl ready to go for tonight of another evening of roasted veggies. So far I'm down abut 5 #s and my intention is to get my LDL cholesterol a lot lower in the next few months and also my A1C lower.
I have trouble walking more than 100 steps per time, and my PCP has sent me the letter for my handicap placard. I'm see the chiropractor this afternoon and hoping she can help somewhat with the pains I have when walking. The last time I was there she helped me with my sense of balance and dizziness.....she calls it her magic stool for twirling people around.

Tonight: Fish tacos made of cod soaked in a fresh squeezed lime orange juice marinade (DH had some leftover from his homemade margarita mix last weekend) with a side of asparagus. $9-ish for 3 servings.
Wed: The last of last year's locally raised beef in the form of cubed round steak will go in the slow cooker and be served with green beans out of our neighbor's yard and the rest of the locally raised bacon.
Thurs: Salmon, shrimp, veggie
Boy is our extra freezer relatively empty!

Chipotle, and I wasn't impressed. carnitas burrito bowl, with a side of queso. $12? ugh. but, no power at the rental, and no way of cooking that doesn't involve electricity. I'm not grilling during a windy tropical storm.

The roasted veggies last night weren't as good as the others. I have some thin rib eye steaks in the freezer so I think tonight (Wednesday) I'll have one of those with Tater Tots. Maybe add a small salad too.
I've read some local papers recently and the carrying on about the future and I start thinking I need "more stuff". For what I wonder....I have plenty in the freezers, and I even have Frosted Flakes in the pantry. Sheesh, I guess I'm ready of the 2nd coming of Y2K.

I finished off the rest of the sloppy joes. I should have put some in the freezer instead of just eating it for 3 out of 4 days. I added a fresh ear of corn, which was yummy. But it was 89 cents for one medium size ear. That's outrageous to me.

I'm crying out for the fried chicken at our local grocery store. Add some scalloped corn and mashed potatoes and gravy......oh what joy! I'm waiting another hour before I drive over there to get it.

I made my famous pork tacos. A lump of pork in a crock pot with some Dr. Pepper and a can (or half a can) Chipotles. Shred it. Taco it. Yum.

I stopped and picked up tortellinis and salad, with bread for dinner and brought it home. It's good, I just don't do it often, calories and cholesterol I'm sure. $37, ouch.

Swoon. This meal is ready in about 10 minutes. Full of color and flavor.
I made stir fry with chicken, rice and egg rolls. Super fast.
1 one pound bag of stir fry vegetables - microwaved.
I made my own peanut stir fry sauce from allrecipes.com. A jar of stir fry sauce could also be used.
1 can of chicken breast.
I poured the hot stir fry vegetables over the chicken to heat it.
Rice. I used boil in bag. There is also minute rice or little rice packets that cook in 1.5 minutes.
Store bought frozen vegetable egg rolls
I have enough left overs for tomorrow.

quiet night tonight. deck lights are plugged in, and citronella candle is lit. this ramen was from a FB ad, Vite Ramen. it's definitely more expensive than a 25c packet of dorm noodles, but it is actually nutritionally balanced. I added garlic and sesame oil for cooking, baby spinach, shredded chicken and a sliced scallion at the end. highly recommend.

I found Spicy Duck Ramen at the Korean market. I doctored it up with shredded chicken, sesame oil, oyster sauce, sweet onion, garlic, broccoli, coriander, corn, a scrambled egg and some avocado. Try it with an egg next time...it's lovely.
